50 : "You and I, we end here."

CHAPTER 50

XAVIER QUINN

I didn't expect myself to freeze or react in such a way. But at the same time, I didn't expect to see him… it took me completely by off-guard. 

I couldn't move an inch. 

What the fuck!? He is her Uncle, how did I not think he will be here in the get-together? 

All I could think of was the past. When I used to go to him to play guitar. The day when Nathan and I went to him. And the next moment I saw Nathan's lifeless body lying on the floor.

He killed him. He killed my brother. It was me who was supposed to die but Nathan saved me and he got killed. I wasn't there to protect Nathan. 

He raped him too. Just like he used to do with me. 

I was the victim, Nathan was never even in the scene. 

“Xavier.” That one voice… she was the only person who I can think of now. He is her Uncle. He is the Uncle of the woman I am head over heels in love with. 

My mind was going insane. 

I am not ready for this. I am not. 

I am not ready to face him. 

My eyes were begging her to save me but how will she understand? She has no idea about who my guitar teacher was or if I had any brother. She knows nothing. 

I don’t know why it is happening to me but not now… I am not ready yet. I was preparing myself to face him for so long but guess what I was wrong, I am not prepared. 

“Xavier, this is Lucy. He is my Uncle, the best.” She side-hugged him tightly and that’s when my heart broke. 

The only hope I had was that she might not be close to her Uncle and when I destroy both her Uncle and her father, she’ll mourn over her Dad but look at the situation I am stuck in.

“And Lucy, he is Xavier.”

“Your Husband.” That man completed to which Viviana blushed.

My hand turned into a fist.

It’s okay Xavier. It’s gonna be okay.

You need to stay calm.

“He is Xavier Quinn.” Benjamin said to Lucas, which made him turn towards Benjamin.

“Quinn?” 

I tried to calm myself.

You cannot show him, he has any effect on you Xavier. You cannot show him, you're scared. You have to let them know what you are about to cause them.

I cleared my throat and looked him into the eyes “Yeah, Quinn… Xavier Quinn and I am the son of William Quinn.”

And for a second there appeared a glint of realisation in his eyes which was enough for me to know he still remembers me.

“Xavier.” He repeated my name staring in my eyes.

I walked closer to them. I had my strength standing beside him… she was there, my Viviana. The person I trust blindly. She was there, I didn’t have any reason to be scared. She was clueless, still she’s my strength.

I extended my hand towards him “Nice to meet you, Lucas.”

He looked at my hand then back at me, shaking hands with me.

I smirked, making my hold tight around his hand. He was trying to get out of my grip but I made it firm. “I didn’t know, Viviana had such a kind Uncle.”
