Bella arrived at Hermione's rooms later that night with an old bottle of fire whiskey and a Black family ring in her pocket. She knew that they'd only been back together a short while but she also knew that there was no one else for her. Without Hermione her life would be dull and lifeless. 'Clear your head Bella...relax...just walk in there and do it when the time is right.' Bella said to herself.
Hermione was busy ordering some food from the elves when there was a knock on her door. "Bella! Come in!" Hermione greeted. "Am I early?" Bella asked. "No right on time actually." Hermione replied with a smile. "Oh good. Is..she here?" Bella asked looking around for Abigail. "Nope. She's gone...with Astoria." Hermione replied. Bella smiled. "Good." She replied. 'My plan can go on without a problem.' She thought to herself. "Are you hungry? I've just ordered some food from the elves." Hermione replied.
"I'm sure we can make it disappear...come sit...you look stressed." Bella cooed. "I am stressed. I've just finished marking for the night a few minutes ago." Hermione replied. "Well sit, here I'll pour us some drinks." Bella said as she grabbed two tumblers. She poured the fire whiskey and sat them back down on the coffee table before curling up next to Hermione again. "So how is my great nephew doing in your class?" Bella asked. "Teddy's doing well. Extremely well actually. He's extremely bright. Must take after Remus." Hermione replied.
"Or he takes after his Auntie Bella....either way I'm proud of him." Bella replied with a smile. Hermione sipped her drink and ate some cheese and crackers all the while Bella reached into her pocket for phase two of her plan. "Teddy talks about you all the time. Dora tells me he gushes over his favorite professor...if I was a weaker woman it would make me jealous." Bella teased. "I'm glad I'm someone's favorite professor." Hermione replied.
A few minutes went by with them making small talk amongst themselves. "Hermione..." Bella breathed. "Yes?" Hermione asked looking at Bella. "I know...our road has been rough so far...but...I don't want to live my life without anyone else...and I had planned on doing this another time and place but I'm doing it now...Hermione will you do me the honor of marrying me?" Bella asked.
Hermione looked at Bella with a shocked look on her face...her mouth agape as she looked at the ring in Bella's hand.
