Hermione was glad to see Teddy's improvement with his spell casting. She even told him so during class over the next few lessons. "Now! Remember next week is your final exams. For the fifth years they'll have their 'O.W.L's' and the seventh years will have their N.E.W.T.S. But the rest of you will have regular end of year exams to contend with. That being said I'll be giving each of you a booklet to help you study. No it won't contain any answers but it'll help you know what to study for. Does anyone have any questions?" Hermione asked. When no one responded she dismissed the students.
Once everyone was gone she took to her desk to continue her markings. She was half way through when Snape came into her classroom. "Professor? Something I can help you with?" Hermione asked. "Yes actually, I need you to get McGonagall off my tail. She's been dogging me to have a retirement party. Between her and your bloody fiancé they won't leave me alone!" Snape stated. "And yo want me to tell them to leave you alone?" Hermione asked. "Yes." Snape replied. "I'll do my best sir." Hermione replied. "Good!" Snape replied as he turned on his heel and left the classroom behind, his cape billowing behind him.
Hermione snickered to herself after Snape was out of earshot. "There's no way those two will listen to me." Hermione said to herself. Just as she was finishing up in walked McGonagall and Bella. "Hermione! Have you seen Severus?" McGonagall asked. "Why would I see him? He's a potions professor. And he never really liked me when I was a student." Hermione replied. "Because we saw him leaving this area a couple minutes ago. And we need to talk to him about his retirement party we're planning." Bella stated.
"Snape...retirement party? I don't think that's a good idea. Maybe just let him go off in peace." Hermione suggested. "Nonsense! Severus will have a party! And he will enjoy it!" McGonagall stated. Hermione rolled her eyes at the headmistress. "He doesn't want a party." Hermione replied. "So he was here!" McGonagall stated. "He left about fifteen minutes ago...and i have no idea where he went." Hermione replied.
The two older witches looked at one another before leaving the classroom without another word to Hermione. Hermione shook her head as she finished her markings.
