17 weeks today.

A month since Lucy had found out she was pregnant.

Since she left Sacramento early in the morning, she was close to home by the time it was 10am.

Lucy figured she didn't have to come into work today as her shift would've started by now, so today was about readjusting to her normal life.

As soon as she stepped foot into her apartment, confetti greeted her and there stood Tamara. "Surprise! Welcome home Lucy." She was wearing a ridiculous fake moustache along with a party hat and Lucy couldn't help but laugh at the situation.

She pulled Tamara into a long hug, once she released her she smiled brightly at the teenager. "I'm so glad to be back! I missed you too Tam."

Tamara revealed that she took an absence off of school to wait for Lucy. She was scolded by Lucy but Tamara knew she was all bark no bite.

Lucy was being bombarded with questions about her pregnancy by Tamara, she knew she would have to answer at least a few of them.

"Okay, Okay you get to ask me three questions."

"Who's the father?" So she started on the most straightforward question first. Great.

"Uh-" Lucy hesitated to tell her, but decided she wouldn't tell anyone anyways. "You have to pinky promise not to tell anybody AT ALL, understood?" She held her pinky out as Tamara sealed the promise.

She muttered out the words quickly, "Timisthefather.."

Tamara's face broke out into a big grin, "Tim, as in Tim bradford? Like officer zaddy?"

"I guess that practising how to make out helped you guys undercover."

"Okay that's enough!" She playfully nudged Tamara's arm.

"Two more questions and that's it."

She thought carefully about her next questions, deciding not to push Lucy any further today. "How far along are you, and are we having another girl or boy in the house?"

"To answer the first question, I'm 17 weeks and to answer the second, I want it to be a surprise."

Her and Tamara spent the rest of the day just catching up and enjoying each other's presence. Lucy had been so distracted that she hadn't even thought of going back to the station the next day.

The day she had been dreading had come, and Lucy felt her breakfast come back up at the thought of having to face Tim again.

Lucy gave herself a pep talk before entering her station, currently waiting in her car waiting for the wave of nausea to pass.

She entered the station a few minutes before roll call started, hurrying to get changed into her uniform. Her baby should be the size of a pomegranate by now, the small bump proving it. Lucy was glad her baby bump was only visible if she wore tight fitting clothes.

Walking through the bullpen looking for a familiar pair of eyes she couldn't help but glance down at her stomach to see if anything was noticeable. Lucy was told that her baby was tall meaning her bump may be larger when she's further along.

The consequences of being impregnated by a 6ft tall guy when you're 5'4. She sighed, this was going to be fun.

Her heartbeat quickened as she saw him again for the first time in months.

They locked eyes for a few seconds, his expression remaining stoic. Wow. He definitely looked happy at the fact she was back.

Sargent Grey began to clear his throat, capturing the attention of the room. Lucy stood at the front with Tim waiting for her introduction to be made. She couldn't wait to sit back down, the feeling of everyone's eyes on her made her nervous.
