Kids

As soon as her class ended, Yumi went straight to her house to take a quick shower and change her clothes. She grabbed her dancing shoes and ate a few snacks before making her way towards the door. A smile was formed on her face, excited to back to the space and dance with the others.

"Yumi? You're leaving again? Sweetheart, you've been spending an awful amount of time outside." Her mother's worried voice said. "Are you getting bullied?"

Yumi shook her head and smiled to assure her mother. "I'm fine, don't worry. I'm just participating in a new dancing gig."

Fortunately, her mom no longer interrogated her about it and just let her go. Not without giving her pocket money to spend for herself, making sure she has her own money to spend. The last thing she want is for her to starve while she was outside. This was how she could show their support at the very least.

As she arrived at the place, the last thing she expected was a surprise. So who could blame her for the shriek of surprise she let out as she felt a hand sneak unto her waist.

"You're pretty loud, red." He snickered.

She rolled her eyes. "It's Garnet, Azure. How many times do I have to remind you?"

"Too long to say it."

She sighed. "I'll keep calling you Blue, then."

Minho shrugged. "Feel free."

As they made their way inside, Minho and Yumi still stood side by side. "What happens if someone decides to leave?" Yumi asked, still unfamiliar with the system inside the space.

"They leave." Minho answered. "The only person they need to ask permission from is Taemin hyung and that's it. Without any trace. As if they never were here."

Yumi paused. "That's a bit sad."

Minho hummed in response. "It is. But it is how things happen."

They walked further until they reached where the rest were stretching. "Red. Let's stretch together." He called.

Yumi nodded without hesitation. Minho was someone who made her feel comfortable. He knew when to push and when to pull. "Sure. You first?" She asked and Minho nodded.

"How come nobody exposed Taemin." Yumi said as she reached out her hand and pulled Minho's arm. "I mean, with how famous he is, I feel like someone must have known or discovered about this place."

Minho chuckled. "You sure like to complicate things."

"I'm being realistic."

"Well, he's not here every single day. He has trusted people whom he assigns to manage the place. Besides, it's not like he doesn't have money to pay off the paparazzis. As I've said, this place is some sort of safe space for dancers. Why would they expose their own space?" He asked.

Yumi shrugged. "Well if you put it like that."

Minho watched as the woman stretched effortlessly. She was flexible to say the least. His catlike eyes admiring her as she began to look for a dance she wanted to do.

"I can't believe you've been here for a year and yet you still confuse yourself with the system here." He teased her.

"It's complex." She argued.

"It really is not."

She was about to argue back when she got distracted by a furry little animal making its way towards them. "Hello." She talked as if it was a baby. Yumi turned towards Minho who was looking down at her. "Don't you like cats?" She asked.

"I don't necessarily hate them. I've had various of pets before. Never had a cat though." He shrugged.

Yumi's eyes lit up. "Why don't we meet at the animal shelter near here? We can volunteer." She suggested.

"Aren't we supposed to keep everything here and not interact outside?" He asked.

"Well, we won't exchange personal information anyways so why don't we do it."

Minho hesitated for a while. Despite knowing Red for a year, he never thought of interacting outside the space they had. He never even interacted with the other dancers whom he knew for longer, outside of the space.

"Hyung! Noona!" They turned towards one of the youngest dancers in the space. The moment Minho and Yumi danced in front of him for the first time, he decided to attach himself to the two. The thing is, he wasn't the only one.

The space had age restrictions. The youngest they would accept is eight. Minho and Yumi were assigned to take care of the young ones when they arrive. They were told to dance for them and show them around as well. Just so that they know what they were getting into.

Three kids arrived at the same time one day and Minho and Yumi had to stop themselves from pinching the little children's cheeks. They wanted to awe at their cuteness. The way they would dress in clothing that would make them older than their age. Age is the only personal information exposed about them.

When the kids requested the two to show a dance, they could not refuse. It was all worth it when the kids greeted them with claps and cheers. Their smiles made up for the effort and exhaustion.

"Jun hyung! Don't take them all for yourself." The two youngest soon followed, carrying their bags and their lips formed a cute pout.

Minho chuckled, wordlessly taking their bags and helping them carry it. "Why are you walking around with your laces untied, Woo?" He asked. He fixed the bags on his shoulders and knelt down to tie the undone shoelaces.

"Noona! We received compliments yesterday from our dance. Thank you for helping us." The other kid said enthusiastically. Yumi chuckled and nodded, opening the water bottle and handing it to the kid who was sweating already.

"That's amazing, Dobi. You're very much welcome. Come on, me and your Blue hyung will help you with your new routine. You'll be dancing with your Jun hyung, right?" She asked and the two kids nodded.

"When in the world did you two adopt kids. You're thirteen years old." One of the older dancers arrived.

Yumi rolled her eyes. "You act as if you're that much older than us, Yeong." The man just shrugged and smiled at the kids.

Minho has Woo on a piggyback ride. Dobi and Jun were in between of Minho and Yumi, keeping both of their hands occupied.

"What in the."
