Note

Minho quickly moved as he received the call from Lily. He merely slipped on his outside pants and some hoodie to protect him from the pouring rain. The cold barely bothered him as he rushed. The call was enough to alert him and hurry up.

The space rare ever calls him and when they do, it was mostly because of emergencies. He already began assuming the worst as he walked back to the space. The cold gush of air making him shiver. He never liked getting in the pool nor swimming. He thoroughly did not enjoy getting wet by the rain even more.

Lily's urgent tone was enough to make him escape the comfort of his warm bed and go outside to be greeted by the cold air and rain.

He did not fancy getting wet.

As he arrived at the space, he was surprised to see Lily still there. She held her own umbrella, holding unto what seemed like some sort of paper and a white box. Her eyes were red and teary. It was like she just finished crying. The lights in the space were no longer turned on, as expected based on the time. It was already late at night.

"Please don't get mad at me for calling you even if it wasn't an emergency." She started. "But I think you'll appreciate the fact that I called you." She added, opening the space to let the two of them in.

To Minho's surprise, the heater wasn't turned on, but it was still warm. "Did someone use the space just a few hours back?" He asked.

Lily hummed in response. "Yeah. Although I had to cancel." Her tone had a sense of secrecy, so Minho did not pry any further and just waited for Lily to continue. He rubbed his hands together, the friction making his fingers even warmer. His wet hoodie did not help the fact that he was so close to shivering.

"What is it, noona?" He asked in a seemingly gentle tone.

Lily wordlessly gave him the paper and the box.

Minho reached out and grabbed the two items from Lily's hand. The first thing Minho saw was a sketch of him. A beautiful sketch of him. He knew the one who made it paid close attention to his features. Every stroke was detailed and every feature of him was highlighted.

Then, his eyes trailed towards the signature on the bottom of the page. It wasn't really a signature, it seemed more like part of the drawing. The word 'garnet' was lettered in a beautiful handwriting with white ink. A red gemstone in the shape of teardrop on each corner of it.

He soon realized that the paper was ripped. That the other half was ripped off. He had no clue where it was. However, he knew it was connected based on the other silhouette of a body next to him.

He turned the paper around and saw a note. He was grateful enough that Lily left him in the room alone and probably waited outside to give him privacy. He did not know if he could hide his emotions if Lily was still in the same room as him.

As clean as the drawing was in front, it was the complete opposite on the back. The handwriting was messy and shaky. It was as if it was written on the rock. The ink flow wasn't consistent. Some letters were darker than the rest and some were seemingly light. He also realized how the paper had several wrinkles all over it.

Despite it, he can read and understand the letter of the note perfectly.
