Enid Sinclair woke up feeling especially needy. The comforting presence of Wednesday Addams beside her was all she wanted. However, Wednesday had a busy day ahead with a mountain of assignments and responsibilities to tackle.
As Enid rubbed her eyes and stretched, she reached out for Wednesday, who was already at her desk, deeply engrossed in her work. "Mama, can we cuddle? I need my paci," Enid whined softly, clutching her favorite plushie.
Wednesday turned around, her heart aching at the sight of Enid's pouty face and teary eyes. She walked over and gently handed Enid her pacifier, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "I wish I could, Eni, but I have so much work to do today. However, I'll make sure you're taken care of."
Enid's bottom lip quivered, her eyes welling up with tears. "But I want you, Mama."
Wednesday hugged Enid tightly, whispering soothing words. "I know, my little cub. But I have to finish this work. I've asked Yoko and Davina to help take care of you today. They'll make sure you have everything you need."
Enid sniffled, her tears slowing as she nodded reluctantly. She trusted Yoko and Davina, knowing they would take good care of her, but she still wished she could be with Wednesday.
A few minutes later, Yoko and Davina knocked on the door. Yoko, with her vibrant style and warm smile, and Davina, with her calm and nurturing demeanor, stepped into the room.
"Hey, Enid! We heard you need some extra cuddles and care today," Yoko said cheerfully, her eyes sparkling with kindness.
Davina approached and gently stroked Enid's hair. "We'll take good care of you, Enid. How about we start with some snuggles?"
Enid nodded, her pacifier bobbing in her mouth as she looked at Wednesday. "Okay, Mama."
Wednesday hugged Enid one last time. "I'll be right here if you need anything, Eni. Be good for Yoko and Davina."
Yoko and Davina led Enid to a cozy corner of the room, filled with soft blankets and pillows. Yoko sat down, pulling Enid onto her lap, while Davina arranged the pillows to make a comfortable nest.
"Do you want to watch a cartoon or read a story?" Yoko asked, wrapping her arms around Enid and rocking her gently.
Enid snuggled into Yoko's embrace, feeling comforted by her warmth. "Cartoon, pwease."
Davina turned on Enid's favorite cartoon, the cheerful colors and playful sounds filling the room. She then joined them, sitting on the other side of Enid and stroking her back soothingly.
As the cartoon played, Enid felt her anxiety melt away. She sucked on her pacifier contentedly, feeling safe and loved between Yoko and Davina. They talked softly to her, their voices a soothing backdrop to the cheerful animation on the screen.
A little later, they decided to do some fun activities. Yoko brought out a set of crayons and coloring books, and they spent a happy hour coloring together, Enid's giggles filling the room as they created colorful masterpieces.
Afterward, Davina prepared a snack for Enid, making sure she had her favorite fruits and a cup of warm milk. They fed her patiently, making sure she felt cherished and cared for.
When it was nap time, they tucked Enid into her blankets, Yoko holding her hand while Davina read a soothing story. Enid's eyes grew heavy, and she drifted off to sleep, feeling completely secure and loved.
Wednesday glanced over at them from her desk, her heart swelling with gratitude. She knew that Enid was in good hands and that she had wonderful friends who cared for her just as much as she did.
As Enid slept peacefully, Wednesday returned to her work, her mind at ease knowing her little cub was safe and happy.
