Enid woke up feeling a strange mix of anticipation and anxiety. She could feel the final stages of her transformation approaching, her body tingling with an unfamiliar energy. It was both exciting and a little scary, knowing that she was so close to finally wolfing out.
Still feeling little, Enid reached for her pacifier and plushie, seeking comfort in their familiar presence. She glanced around the room and saw Wednesday at her desk, as usual, working on some notes.
"Mama?" she called out softly, her voice muffled around the pacifier.
Wednesday immediately turned her attention to Enid, concern in her eyes. "Yes, little cub? What's wrong?" she asked, moving to sit beside her on the bed.
Enid snuggled into Wednesday's side, feeling the warmth of her caregiver. "I feel... different. Like something's about to happen," she explained, her voice tinged with nervousness.
Understanding what Enid was going through, Wednesday wrapped an arm around her and kissed the top of her head. "It's okay, Eni. You're just getting closer to your transformation. It's a big step, but you have nothing to worry about. We'll be here with you every step of the way."
Just then, Yoko and Davina entered the room, bringing breakfast. "Good morning, sweetie," Yoko greeted, setting down a tray with Enid's favorite foods.
"How's our little cub feeling today?" Davina asked, sitting on the other side of Enid and gently brushing her hair back.
Enid sighed, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "I feel different, like I'm almost there... but not yet," she said, looking at each of her caregivers.
Yoko nodded, understanding. "It's natural to feel that way, Eni. Your body is preparing for a big change. But don't worry, we're all here to help you through it."
They spent the morning together, eating breakfast and talking about the transformation. Yoko and Davina shared stories about other werewolves they knew who had gone through the same thing, making Enid feel less alone in her experience.
After breakfast, Enid felt a bit more relaxed. She played with her toys on the floor, her pacifier bobbing in her mouth as she concentrated on building a tower with her blocks. The familiar activity helped soothe her nerves, and soon she was giggling and having fun.
"Look, Mama! I made a big tower!" Enid exclaimed proudly, showing off her creation to Wednesday.
Wednesday smiled, her eyes filled with affection. "That's wonderful, little cub. You're very talented."
As the day went on, Enid's caregivers made sure she stayed comfortable and calm. They took turns reading to her, playing games, and watching cartoons. The constant attention and care helped Enid feel secure, despite the changes happening within her.
By the evening, Enid was starting to feel the energy intensify again. She became clingier, seeking more cuddles and comfort. Wednesday, Yoko, and Davina were there, offering soothing words and gentle touches.
"It's okay, Eni," Davina whispered, holding her close. "You're doing so well. We're so proud of you."
"You're almost there, little cub," Yoko added, kissing her forehead. "Just a little bit longer."
As night fell, Enid was tucked into bed, surrounded by her favorite plushies and her caregivers' love. She clung to Luna, her eyes heavy with exhaustion.
"Mama, will you stay with me?" she asked softly, her voice barely a whisper.
"Of course, little cub," Wednesday replied, lying down beside her and wrapping an arm around her. "We'll all stay with you."
Yoko and Davina joined them, creating a warm, protective cocoon around Enid. She felt their love and support, easing her anxiety about the impending transformation.
"Goodnight, Eni," Yoko whispered, her voice full of affection.
"Goodnight, sweetie," Davina added, gently stroking her hair.
Enid closed her eyes, feeling safe and loved. "Goodnight, Mama. Goodnight, Mommy. Goodnight, Ma," she mumbled, drifting off to sleep.
As she slept, her body continued to prepare for the final stages of her transformation. But with her caregivers by her side, Enid knew she could face anything. She was their little wolf cub, and together, they would get through this.
