Enid woke up feeling even more restless and uncomfortable than usual. She shifted in bed, her body aching with an unfamiliar intensity. She felt warmer than normal, and the faint scent of her heat—the werewolf equivalent of a period—filled the room.
Still feeling little, Enid whimpered softly, clutching Luna tightly. She was wearing her diaper, as it made her feel safe and secure, but the discomfort of her heat was overwhelming.
"Mama," she whispered, her voice trembling.
Wednesday, who had been working quietly at her desk, immediately turned to look at her little wolf cub. Seeing the distress in Enid's eyes, she quickly put her work aside and moved to the bed.
"Eni, what's wrong, little cub?" she asked gently, brushing a strand of hair from Enid's face.
Enid whimpered again, tears welling up in her eyes. "It hurts, Mama. I think I'm in heat," she said softly, her voice barely a whisper around the pacifier in her mouth.
Understanding the situation, Wednesday leaned down to kiss Enid's forehead. "Shh, it's okay, little cub. Mama is here. We'll take care of you."
Wednesday quickly texted Yoko and Davina, letting them know about Enid's condition. Within minutes, they were at the door, concern etched on their faces.
"Hey, sweetie," Yoko said softly as she entered the room, immediately sitting down next to Enid and taking her hand. "How are you feeling?"
Enid sniffled, feeling the comfort of her caregivers surrounding her. "It hurts, Mommy. And I'm so hot," she mumbled.
Davina gently stroked Enid's hair, her touch soothing. "We'll make you feel better, Eni. Let's get you more comfortable first."
Together, they helped Enid into a fresh diaper, making sure it was snug and secure. The familiar routine helped calm her, even though the discomfort of her heat remained. They dressed her in a soft, oversized t-shirt, perfect for her little state and the heat she was feeling.
Yoko handed Enid her pacifier and plushie, while Davina brought over a cool washcloth, gently dabbing Enid's forehead. "This will help with the heat, sweetie," Davina said softly.
Wednesday adjusted the pillows around Enid, making sure she was as comfortable as possible. "You're such a brave little cub," she said, her voice full of affection.
Enid's tears began to subside as she felt the love and care from her caregivers. "Thank you, Mama. Thank you, Mommy. Thank you, Ma," she said, her voice soft and filled with gratitude.
"We're always here for you, Eni," Yoko said, kissing her forehead. "No matter what."
Davina nodded, smiling warmly. "Exactly. Now, how about we watch some cartoons? That always makes you feel better."
Enid nodded eagerly, her spirits lifting at the thought. "Yes, please!"
As the cartoons played on the TV, Enid snuggled into her caregivers, feeling their comforting presence all around her. Despite the discomfort of her heat, she felt safe and loved.
Throughout the day, Wednesday, Yoko, and Davina took turns caring for her, making sure she stayed cool and comfortable. They brought her plenty of water and her favorite snacks, and when the pain got too intense, they were there to hold her and soothe her.
"You're doing so well, little cub," Wednesday said, kissing her cheek. "We're so proud of you."
Enid smiled, feeling the warmth of their love. "I love you all so much," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
As the day turned into night, Enid finally began to feel a bit more at ease. The discomfort of her heat was still there, but with her caregivers by her side, she knew she could handle anything.
"Goodnight, little cub," Wednesday whispered as she tucked Enid into bed, the room filled with the soft glow of the nightlight.
"Goodnight, Mama," Enid whispered back, her eyes heavy with sleep. "Goodnight, Mommy. Goodnight, Ma."
"Goodnight, sweetie," Yoko and Davina replied in unison, their voices gentle and soothing.
Enid drifted off to sleep, feeling safe, loved, and cared for. Despite the challenges of her heat, she knew she was never alone. With her family by her side, she could face anything.
