The dorm was quiet that evening, with Enid curled up in her bed, surrounded by her favorite plushies. Wednesday, Yoko, and Davina had gone out for a brief errand, leaving Enid in the care of the dorm's security system.
Enid was half-asleep, her pacifier in her mouth, when a sudden noise jolted her awake. Her heart raced as she heard the sound of the dorm door creaking open.
"Who's there?" she asked, her voice trembling. She tried to sit up but felt a wave of dizziness.
A shadowy figure emerged from the darkness—Tyler Galpin. His eyes glinted with a dangerous mix of obsession and malice.
"Hello, little cub," Tyler sneered, stepping closer to the bed. "I've been waiting for this moment."
Enid's eyes widened in fear. "N-no! Mama! Mommy! Ma!" she cried out, her voice breaking.
Tyler advanced, ignoring her pleas. He swiftly picked Enid up, cradling her roughly. "You see, Wednesday and I have unfinished business. And you're going to help me settle it."
Enid squirmed in his grasp, tears welling in her eyes. "No! Pwease, no! Mama! Hewp!" she babbled, trying to wriggle free. Her little voice was filled with desperation.
Tyler ignored her cries and carried her out of the dorm. He had planned meticulously for this moment, using his monstrous abilities to bypass security. He took her to a secluded warehouse on the edge of town, far from the safety of Nevermore Academy.
Inside the warehouse, the atmosphere was cold and dark. Tyler set Enid down in a small, dimly lit room, securing the door with heavy chains and locks. Enid's pacifier fell from her mouth as she looked around in fear.
"Stay put," Tyler ordered, his tone harsh. "Wednesday will be here soon enough."
Enid's heart pounded in her chest. She sat on the cold floor, hugging her plushie tightly and sucking on her thumb for comfort. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she whimpered softly, her little voice calling out for her caregivers.
Meanwhile, Wednesday, Yoko, and Davina returned to the dorm, only to find it eerily quiet. They immediately sensed something was wrong when they saw the door ajar and Enid's belongings scattered on the floor.
"Enid?" Wednesday called out, her voice filled with worry. "Enid, where are you?"
Yoko and Davina's faces turned pale with fear. "We need to find her, now!" Yoko said urgently, her voice trembling.
Wednesday's eyes narrowed in determination. "I know who did this. Tyler Galpin."
Using her powers and quick thinking, Wednesday tracked Tyler's scent to the abandoned warehouse. The three of them rushed there, their hearts racing with worry for Enid.
Inside the warehouse, Enid was curled up on the floor, her eyes wide with fear as she heard footsteps approaching. Tyler had left the room to check on something, leaving Enid alone for a brief moment.
Suddenly, the door burst open. Wednesday, Yoko, and Davina rushed in, their faces a mix of relief and anger. Wednesday's eyes locked onto Tyler, who was trying to make his escape.
"You won't get away with this, Tyler!" Wednesday shouted, her voice echoing in the room.
Tyler's eyes widened in shock as he saw Wednesday and her friends. He tried to flee, but Yoko and Davina quickly restrained him using their combined powers. Wednesday rushed to Enid, who was still on the floor, trembling with fear.
"Enid, it's okay. We're here," Wednesday said softly, her voice soothing as she gently lifted Enid into her arms.
Enid clung to Wednesday, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Mama! I was so scawed!" she sobbed, her voice choked with emotion.
"It's alright, little cub. You're safe now," Wednesday whispered, brushing her hair back. She glanced at Yoko and Davina, who were comforting Tyler and ensuring he wouldn't cause any more harm.
Yoko knelt beside them, offering a comforting smile. "We're here for you, sweetie. Let's get you home."
Davina added, "You're safe now, Eni. We're going to take good care of you."
Wednesday carefully carried Enid out of the warehouse, holding her close and ensuring she felt secure. Yoko and Davina followed, making sure Tyler was securely restrained and could no longer pose a threat.
Back at the dorm, Enid was tucked into bed, surrounded by her plushies and her caregivers. Wednesday sat beside her, gently stroking her hair.
"Thank you, Mama," Enid whispered, her voice still trembling. "I wuv you."
"I love you too, little cub," Wednesday replied softly, her eyes filled with affection. "You're very brave."
Yoko and Davina joined them, their faces showing relief and concern. "You did great, Eni," Yoko said, kissing her forehead.
"Rest now, sweetie. You're safe," Davina added, her voice warm and reassuring.
As Enid drifted off to sleep, she felt the warmth of her caregivers' love wrapping around her. Despite the frightening experience, she knew she was safe with them, and that thought gave her the comfort she needed to rest peacefully.
