After 5.5 years,
"Stand straight both of you!" I yelled glaring at both of them. These two never listen to me
"But momma-" aanika turned her face towards me... And again these puppy eyes! She knew that I melt down under her cute faces but not this time
"No puppy eyes, sweetheart. I said stand straight"
"But ruhanika, it was just one icecream! Just one" reyansh showed me a pinch made with his fingers as if they just tasted it
[Reyansh...Reyansh Agrawal is my saviour. I still remember how he saved me that night. He's the one who took care of me throughout my whole pregnancy as he's one of the top surgeons in Mumbai. They were both stood up on a time out facing the wall as a punishment. They deserved though
"Aanika...get ready for school!" I announced looking at her as daily reyansh drop her off at school and he further goes to the hospital
She went to get ready in our room while reyansh was having his breakfast at dining table
"Please reyansh... I request you not to spoil her much!"
"One icecream don't hurt ruhanika! The doctor himself is saying that. Can you believe that?" He giggled saying as a proud of doctor prescription
In a while, aanika got out of her room spreading her arms for our morning magic hug
"Momma kissy?" She pouted pointing her fingers at her forehead
I kissed her forehead*
"Here" pointed at her right cheek
I kissed all over her face according to her instructions but in a following, she pointed at reyansh's cheek in a go
"Momma here!" She exclaimed cupping reyansh's face in her tiny hands which made us all caught up in an awkward situation
"It doesn't happen like that aanika...You should go to your school, you're getting late, right!" I bent down to her level, hugged her tightly in my arms to exclaim
As they both left and i turned towards kritika, she placed her hand on my shoulder to caress and said,"How long will you hide this truth from her, ruhi? Don't she deserve to know about her father?"
