"Did you brought my sketch pens, uncle rey?" Aanika whispered placing her little hand on her lips
"Oopsy Daisy..." Reyansh uttered grinning his teeth because of his own carelessness
As they both waited for ruhanika to sleep so they can prepare for her birthday in the midnight
"Uncle reyyy" she glared her eyes at him with a smile,"Aren't you too fond of my sweet scoldings, huh?" She said taking a rest at sofa
"Go stand facing the wall!" She whispered, her voice clearly yelled but in a bluff
"But-" he tried to speak but aanika cutting him off in between muttered,"Why? Don't you deserve punishment for this...we all have decided earlier only that any mistake will lead to punishment so go!"
"So mistakes can't be forgiven, love?" He said making a cute face at her
"Atleast for half an hour?" Aanika made puppy eyes at him to convey her own wishes and as he stood up facing the wall, it made her face turn into a wide smile as she got some award
"Isse acha toh schools ki principal hoti hongi!" Reyansh mumbled kicking his feet annoyingly (Principal of the school would've been better than her)
"Me batu ki kaisi hoti hai pincipal?" She glared her eyes again, brows furrowed but still a wide smile which made him laugh because of her miss pronounces
Aanika was actually enjoying the moment, the smile never left her face... As ruhanika has always told her, "Happiness is the key to every situation!"
After a while,
"I've an idea, I can help you!" Reyansh spoke widening his eyes in excitement,"Bring all your colours, paper and crafts"
Aanika got up in a confused state and toe-dubbing to her room silently... She brought everything she had
Reyansh took a chart paper and by folding it as a card, he said, "Give me the crayons"
Aanika passed him the box curiously and as reyansh opened it, he whispered in a soft voice," Why they're broken? We did drawing 5 days before... They weren't broken then. Why now? "
"In making of a grand proposal! " Aanika buffed rolling her eyes at her own actions
"What? What proposal?" Reyansh asked putting the crayons away, giving all attention to her
"I proposed my senior two days before in a grand way! But he said that he can't tolerate my sarcasms and tantrums!" Aanika said gesturing her hands in air as it wasn't her fault
"Should I give you punishment, love?" Reyansh asked with narrowing his eyes and pouting at aanika causing her just to laugh awkwardly
At 3 in the midnight,
Aanika just slept on the sofa god knows when. But reyansh was wide awake preparing birthday card for his love's momma
