"the coach emailed me back!"peyton ran into kk and paige's dorm room smiling. kk and paige turned their heads toward peyton furrowing their eyebrows in confusion. peyton stopped in her tracks when she realized she hadn't told the girls what happened. "where's nika?"peyton asked looking around. nika was usually sitting around kk and paige's dorm.
"no clue, she was here yesterday."paige shrugged looking back down at her phone. peyton groaned rolling her eyes and calling nika. once she picked up peyton smiled. "hello?"nika's sweet voice called out over the phone. "hey where are you?"peyton asked making her way out of kk and paige's dorm and walking back to her car. "i'm at my dorm, the flu is going around and i went to the mall and someone there gave it to me."nika replied, coughing.
peyton frowned turning her car on. "can i come over?"peyton asked waiting for nika's response. "of course"she heard nika say enthusiastically. she smiled before turning her car off and hopping right back out. "do you need anything before i head back up?"peyton asked walking into the building and making her way to the elevator. "no thank you, the door should be unlocked by time you get up here."nika said and then peyton heard shuffling in the background.
"okay, i'll see you in a bit"peyton said smiling at the phone as if nika could see her. "see ya!"nika replied laughing and hanging up. peyton smiled pressing the button to get to nika's floor. once she got there she walked out heading towards nika's door. she put her hand on the knob before opening the door immediately smelling vapor rub. she silently laughed and closed the door, and walked to nika's room. when she got there she softly knocked on the door hearing nika softly yell come in.
she walked and seen nika with a bunch of tissues on her nightstand and she was snuggled up underneath her blanket and her nose was red. peyton frowned at the sight. she closed nika's door making her look up. once she seen peyton she smiled sitting up. "it's okay lay back down, i'm coming over there"peyton smiled back walking towards nika. nika laid back down waiting for peyton. peyton took her shoes off and got in the bed beside nika.
"how're you feeling"peyton mumbled putting her hand over nika's forehead. "i've felt better"nika joked making peyton chuckle. "coach mota emailed me."peyton said moving her hand off nika's face. "what'd she say?"nika smiled looking at peyton. "i haven't opened it yet im scared."peyton frowned grabbing her phone out of her pocket. "they'll love you p"nika said making peyton blush at the nickname. peyton opened her phone going to her emails and pressing on the one from coach mota.
"what does it say?"nika pushed putting her head on peyton's shoulder. peyton carefully read through the email before smiling. "she wants me to tryout!"peyton exclaimed smiling. nika smiled throwing her arm over peyton's waist as if she was hugging her. "i'm proud of you p"nika smiled hugging peyton tighter. peyton smiled throwing her arm around nika's back hugging her back. "thank you"peyton said. "for what?"nika raised an eyebrow.
"for talking to her"peyton chuckled. "you did all the work p"nika laughed not moving from her spot. the 2 stayed like that, neither of them daring to speak up about. they were both comfortable and didn't want to move.
