"paige"peyton called out walking into paige's dorm. she looked around before deciding to walk to paige's room. once she got to the door she heard people talking so she put her ear to the door. "so what're you gonna do?"a voice called out to which peyton immediately recognized it was paige's. "i don't know p...do i act like everything's normal?"she heard another voice say to which she recognized it was nika.
"if that's what you want to do."paige said. peyton furrowed her eyebrows once she heard the room go silent. she took a deep breath before opening the door seeing both of the girls against the headboard with nika's head on paige's shoulder. the two immediately snapped their heads towards the door before moving away from each other.
"what were yall doing?"peyton asked walking further into the room. "nothing peyton get out"nika said rolling her eyes. "no tell me! why are yall all of a sudden so close?"peyton spewed out walking closer to the bed. "omg nothings happening or happened!"paige shouted while standing up. "it sounds like you're trying to get on with my ex!"peyton shouted back.
"i'm not your ex! you never asked me to be your girlfriend peyton! you chose a bop over me?! i gave you everything peyton, and what has she done? nothing!"nika shouted now standing up in the bed. "you're overreacting, you think i'm supposed to stay hooked on you nika? i need to try new things!"peyton yelled back. "and you did it disrespectfully! you owe me that loyalty not her!"nika yelled shoving her pointer finger in peyton's direction.
"nik-" "no leave me alone peyton, you've done enough damage."nika shook her head before getting off the bed and walking out of the room. paige sighed once she heard the front door slam shut. "what're you gonna do peyton?"paige asked looking at her cousin. "i don't know p, i'm so obsessed with her it's scary."peyton huffed before sitting on the ground with her back on the wall.
"then why do it?"paiged questioned before sitting next to her. "i honestly don't know, i think knowing another girl was interested in me set me off. i really like nika but there's places we need to grow, and i thought talking to hailey would provide everything nika couldn't"peyton shrugged looking at her cousin. "nika's human just as much as you are, you struggle in places that nika can find and easily replace but she hasn't, you're nika's first 'relationship' and that's another thing, why wait so long to ask her to be your girlfriend?"paige asked.
"i was gonna do it after yalls game that week, i wanted it to be special and something for her to remember."peyton said. paige huffed before throwing her head back. "ill try to get her to talk to you but you need to break things off with hailey, like now. and you need to make things right with nika, she won't forgive you easily and it's gonna take time but it's worth it. you've lost a good one and her trust."paige said nudging her cousins knee with hers.
"i know."peyton mumbled looking down and playing with her fingers.
