(narrative)

peyton nervously knocked on nika's door waiting for her to come open it. once the door opened she seen nika on the other side of the door, peyton thought she looked beautiful. she had on a cream 'essentials' hoodies with a pair of black basketball shorts and her hair was down and wavy. "can we talk?"peyton asked as she began to fidget with her fingers. nika huffed before finally giving in. she opened the door wider and let peyton in before closing the door.

"what's up?"nika asked as she sat beside peyton on the couch. "before you talk i just want you to listen and hear me out okay?"peyton said looking over at nika. "okay"nika nodded and motioned for peyton to begin talking.

"i know no amount of sorry's will ever make you forgive me but i wanted to at least try. i'm so sorry about the way i treated you and talked to you. i had and still have no clue why i let half of the things that came out of my mouth come out. i really do like you and i think the only reason i started talking to hailey was because knowing that another person was into me made me act the way i did. i know this isn't an excuse but i never really had attention from peers growing up, so knowing that i was getting attention from someone else was exciting for me. i really do like you nika and i never meant to hurt you."peyton rambled on.

nika sighed before she began speaking. "i accept your apology, but you're really gonna have to work hard to gain my trust. it's not gonna be easy peyton, what you did really hurt my feelings. and i'm sorry to say this but hailey doesn't really like you p, she just needs attention. i'm telling you, by next week she's gonna cut you off if yall haven't had sex yet. she only went for you because you were a easy target, you're new and have no clue about her. no one else would've talked to her because they know her reputation."nika said looking down.

"i cut her off, im really serious. i want to be something with you nika, i want to start over."peyton said grabbing one of nika's hands. nika looked up at peyton and gave her a tight lipped smile. "me too."she mumbled. "i'm peyton."peyton stuck her other hand out. nika laughed before sticking her other hand out. "im nika."nika said shaking peyton's hand. peyton laughed before pulling nika into a tight hug.

"i never wanna let go"peyton mumbled into nikas shoulder. "me neither"nika sighed hugging peyton tighter.
