The second test match in Visakhapatnam concluded with a thrilling victory for India, who won by 106 runs. The team was in high spirits as they celebrated their hard-earned win, which was crucial for the series.
Yashasvi's incredible double century on day one had set the foundation for the win, and Bumrah had done yet another amazing spell to seal the match. The morning after the victory, the atmosphere in the hotel was electric. Everyone was eager to congratulate Yashasvi on his outstanding performance .
All of his teammates were talking about his double hundred, and the mood was celebratory. However, a new topic had emerged, one that provided ample fuel for playful banter among the team.
During Yashasvi's innings, the camera had repeatedly shown a foreign girl in the stands, cheering enthusiastically. The girl was Maddie, a friend of Yashasvi's who was the sister of his best friend , Henry Hamilton . Her presence had not gone unnoticed by his teammates, and they wasted no time in teasing him about it.
As the team finished the post match meeting. Dhruv, Shubman , Divya and some teammates of Divya were present in the dressing room who were packing the equipment and slowly getting out .
The two boys stopped the younger boy from stepping out and took turns ribbing poor Yashasvi. "Yash, you didn't tell us you had international fans coming to cheer for you!" Shubman teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Dhruv chimed in, "Yeah, and she was so enthusiastic! Must be a special friend and a good luck charm too, huh?"
Yashasvi, trying to maintain a straight face, replied, "She's just a friend, guys. We met through her brother . She is almost like a sister to me. That's all."
Divya, who was nearby, couldn't help but smirk at the exchange. Despite their recent argument and the awkwardness that followed, seeing Yashasvi being teased lightened her mood. She remained quiet, though, not wanting to draw attention to herself.
Just then, Yashasvi's phone rang. It was Maddie. He answered, and her cheerful voice filled the room as Dhruv snatched his phone and put her on speaker. "Hey, Yash! Congratulations on your double century! That was fantastic!"
"Thanks, Mads ," Yashasvi replied, smiling while trying to get his phone back from Dhruv. "It was great having you in the stands."
Maddie's voice became more excited. "So, how about celebrating tonight? There's a great restaurant nearby. My treat! Don't say no , Mom is waiting to meet her favorite child after so long and we can also videocall your dear friend while we are at it and make him jealous as he could not come to see you"
