" YOU DID WHAT ? "
Her best friend, Kriti yelled as Divya narrated the unexpected moment to her .
It had been two days since the incident and yet it was fresh in her mind . The next day , the ict and support staff had left for home . Divya had tried her best to avoid him while Yashasvi also did not confront her but she could feel his stare at the airport as the team dispersed for the IPL
" The last thing I knew was that you hated 'Yasha' and he hated you . " Kriti murmured and broke Divya's train of thoughts
I know but he had this completely different side this time and I don't know what came over me that I stepped up and just kissed him " Divya replied , frustration evident in her voice
Kriti gasped dramatically, nearly dropping her phone. "Divya, this is like straight out of a Bollywood movie! Are you sure you didn't accidentally get caught up in some romance subplot?"
Divya rolled her eyes, feeling a mix of embarrassment and amusement. "Trust me, Kriti, if this were a Bollywood movie, there would have been at least three dance numbers by now. But no, it's just me and my awkward, impulsive self."
Kriti giggled, trying to stifle her laughter. "Okay, but seriously, what are you going to do now? Are you going to avoid him forever or face the music?"
"I have no idea," Divya admitted, slumping back onto her bed. "Avoiding him seemed like the easiest option, but now I'm not so sure. He looked pretty upset when he left."
Kriti nodded sympathetically. "Well, you can't ignore this forever. Maybe it's time to have a heart-to-heart and clear the air. Or, you know, just blame it on the altitude in Dharamshala and hope for the best!"
Divya chuckled despite herself. "Yeah, because 'altitude-induced kissing' is definitely a thing. Thanks, Kriti. You always know how to lighten the mood."
"Anytime, Divya. Just remember, life's too short for regrets... or for avoiding cute cricketers!" Kriti teased, earning an exasperated sigh from Divya.
"Thanks for the reminder," Divya replied dryly. "I'll keep you posted on how this melodrama unfolds."
And with that, they both burst into laughter, finding humor in the midst of Divya's romantic conundrum.
Soon the laughter calmed down and kriti asked curiously, " I don't know if I should ask this but is he a good kisser cause I am sure he hasn't had any girlfriend ".
Divya blushed furiously at Kriti's question, her mind racing to find an appropriate response. "Um, well, I mean..." She stuttered, trying to gather her thoughts. "He's surprisingly good, actually. Confident, gentle... and definitely not what I expected."
Kriti leaned forward, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Ooh, confident and gentle sounds like a deadly combination. Did he sweep you off your feet?"
Divya shifted uncomfortably, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. "I... uh, maybe a little," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "It was unexpected, intense... and kind of amazing."
Kriti grinned knowingly. "Sounds like you've got yourself a Bollywood hero, Divya! Who knew Mr. Jaiswal had such hidden talents?"
