" You seem much happier, weren't you mopping around about Divya just yesterday ". Riyan asked as Yashasvi, Dhruv and him sat down after an intense net session
Yashasvi grinned broadly, pretending to wipe away tears. "Oh, you mean Divya? Who's that? I'm over her like Dhruv's wild bouncers over the stadium fence!"Dhruv chuckled, adjusting his cap. "Yeah, his tears have turned into sweat from all that practice. Maybe Divya should watch out for me bowling googlies at her heart next!"
Riyan raised an eyebrow, feigning concern. "You guys are a comedy show on and off the field. Yashasvi, you were crying into your protein shake yesterday."
Yashasvi shrugged, grinning mischievously. "That was just because my shake tasted like tears of unrequited love, but today, I've upgraded to tears of joy over my six-pack in the making!"
Dhruv leaned back, patting his stomach with mock seriousness. "Speaking about six packs , I've decided to follow a strict diet for my six-pack. It's called the 'see-food' diet—see food and eat it!"
Yashasvi and Riyan burst into laughter, with Yashasvi chiming in, "Ah, the classic diet plan! No wonder you're still working on that six-pack, mate."
Dhruv nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! It's all about dedication and commitment to the cause. Plus, the occasional salad to balance it out, right?"
Riyan shook his head, chuckling. "You're a role model, Dhruv. A role model for all the foodies dreaming of a six-pack."
Dhruv grinned, unfazed by the playful teasing. "Hey, someone's got to prove that you can achieve greatness while enjoying life's culinary pleasures!"
Yashasvi nodded in mock admiration. "True dedication indeed. I'm taking notes, Dhruv. Maybe I'll join you on that 'see-food' diet soon."
Riyan chuckled, shaking his head. "You guys are hopeless. But hey, as long as you're hitting those boundaries and taking wickets, who cares about six-packs, right?"
Dhruv raised his water bottle in agreement. "Absolutely! Cricket first, abs later. But in the meantime, pass me those snacks. A cricketer needs fuel!"
Coach Sangakkara, known for his no-nonsense attitude, marched onto the field with a stern expression. "What's going on here, boys? Laughing and joking around like it's a picnic?"
The trio of Yashasvi, Dhruv, and Riyan exchanged sheepish glances, trying to stifle their laughter. A voice boomed across the ground, "Ten extra laps for each of you! Maybe that'll teach you to focus more on your fitness and less on comedy hour!"
Yashasvi muttered under his breath, "I guess my six-pack dreams will have to wait a little longer."
Dhruv winked at Riyan, already plotting his strategy for sneaking in snacks during the laps. "Think we can bribe Coach with some protein bars?"
Riyan rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a smile. "Worth a shot, but I doubt he'll fall for it. Let's just get these laps over with before he adds more!"
With groans and grumbles, they started their punishment laps, their banter and laughter echoing across the field, much to the team coach's annoyance and the amusement of their teammates watching from the sidelines.
