The morning after the final day of fourth test cricket match, the atmosphere in the hotel was buzzing with a mix of exhaustion and excitement. The team had managed a hard-fought victory, and the players were looking forward to a much-needed break. Divya, as the team's physiotherapist, had been busy all night tending to injuries and helping the players recover. She knew that today would be no different, as the aftermath of such an intense match required continued care.
However, amidst the professional responsibilities, Divya couldn't shake off the thoughts about Yashasvi.
As she sat in her hotel room in Ranchi , she mulled over her feelings.
Divya , after thinking over them for a while ,came to a conclusion.
This is just attraction, nothing more .
She repeatedly told herself. She thought how can she start liking someone who she used to hate two months ago . How can her feelings take such a big turn .
" This must be only due to emotional rollercoaster with Gaurav . Yeah , that must be it . I needed someone to help me and he was present . That is why I must be feeling this. I mean how can someone like him , looking at his face . Granted his dimples were cute when he smiled and the way his cheek bones and jaw tightened when he was angry, was kinda hot . Also , his hugs were so warm and heartwar....... wait what am I thinking. " Divya debated in her mind
It is definitely attraction, she thought in the end . This is just attraction, there are no real feelings.
As she was thinking , the door bell rang . Thinking it was room service , she bluntly opened the door deep in her thoughts.
There stood Gaurav outside her room with a pleading expression. At first, Divya was astonished but soon came to her senses and was about to slam the door on his face when he stopped her
Gaurav's hand firmly stopped the door from closing. Divya's anger flared, but she took a deep breath, determined to stay composed.
"What do you want, Gaurav?" she asked, her voice steady but laced with frustration.
Gaurav's expression was a mix of regret and sincerity. "Divya, I just came to apologize," he said quietly. "I know I've hurt you deeply, and I'm sorry for everything. Please just give me ten minutes to talk"
Divya took a deep breath, the emotions of the past few days swirling inside her. She looked at Gaurav, noting the genuine remorse in his eyes, and decided to give him the chance to speak. She stepped aside, allowing him to enter the room.
Gaurav walked in cautiously, clearly aware of the tension. He turned to face her, his expression earnest. "Divya, I know I've hurt you more than I can ever make up for," he began. "I was selfish and thoughtless, and I took you for granted. I just wanted you to know that I've realized my mistakes, and I'm truly sorry."
Divya crossed her arms, her eyes fixed on him. "Gaurav, apologies don't erase the pain you've caused," she said, her voice steady. "You can't just walk back into my life expecting everything to be okay."
Gaurav nodded, his gaze dropping to the floor. "I understand that. I'm not asking for forgiveness or for us to go back to how things were. I just needed to apologize and let you know that I've moved on. I wanted you to know that I'm working on becoming a better person, not just for myself, but for meera in the future. That day I was angry over some other things and it came out the wrong way "
