Madison would have been lying if she said it didn't sting the tiniest bit when she saw her soon-to-be ex-husband's Facebook status update to "In a relationship with Heather Blakely-Williams". Until it dawned on her that it was THE Heather.

"Oh my fucking gaaaaawd, guess WHAT?" She messaged Krist on Facebook, attaching a screenshot of Brad's updated status along with the super gross photo he'd posted of them tongue-kissing porn style on Facebook.

She and Krist weren't friends but were on better terms than they'd been in years and even if they weren't, she still would have messaged him. Madison remembered hearing all about this chick when he and Lainey started talking again. She wasn't going to kink-shame her for her preferences but she knew Heather was a complete whore and cheated on Krist with five dudes-confirmed but probably more.

Heather also had been a mega bitch after the breakup and caused all sorts of drama for Krist and her former friend Kelsey or Chelsea, whatever her name had been, even though Heather was already with a new guy.

Krist responded with a shocked emoji followed by a string of laughing emojis, "Oh man, he couldn't have found a more perfect broad for himself, they gonna get so many STDs between them!"

Madison cackled so loud that it startled Gwendolyn who was playing in her exersaucer.

"Prolly somehow create whole new strains, nasty ass mf'ers," he wrote, followed by more laughing emojis, "She gonna peg him bahaha!!!!!"

Madison dug through Heather's profile, not that it was hard as everything was completely public. It was nothing but gross thirst trap pictures of herself, gross pictures of her and Brad as well as shared quotes about "get yourself a man who (insert sexual theme)" and about morning sex. Basically Heather was all about sex and herself, just like Brad.

She sat on the living room floor, head cocked as she thought about Brad literally just dumping his family and kids for the sake of his boner. What the absolute fuck. The whole thought made her laugh out loud, piquing her mother-in-law's interest.

"I'm glad to see you smiling," Linda said, taking a seat on her recliner.

Madison stifled her laugh, "Linda, do you remember Krist's old girlfriend, Heather?"

"Ugh, the one Atira hit?"

Madison gasped, "What?! Atira?!"

Linda giggled like a teenager, "I didn't see it but I heard all about it! Happened at her bachelorette party," she said, her shoulders jiggling with laughter.

"Dang! Go Atira!" Madison grinned with an appreciative nod, "So guess what? She and Brad are together."

Linda closed her eyes, taken back, "No way."

"Look at his Facebook," Madison encouraged her, watching her mother-in-law scroll through her phone, her smile turning into disgust.

She quickly closed the app, "Well, I could have lived without seeing my son swapping tongues with her, or anyone. Wow. That is going to make for an awkward family get-together," she said before adding, "If I invite Brad anyway."

"Krist thinks it's hilarious," Madison told him, "And after what I've heard about her, can't say I don't agree."

Linda massaged her temples, "I'm just at such a loss with him, with Brad. He went from being this shy, responsible kid, even young adult, and now he is..."

"Vile as hell?" Madison volunteered.

Wincing, Linda nodded, "We will go with that. I don't know where things went wrong or if they were always wrong and he just hid it so well."
