"If you are not feeling well, why don't you stop reading that book Williams?" when Williams went to the drawer and took the book written by his mother out, Rose said looking at his side. "You have become too much emotional when read this book last time."
"Of course, I have become emotional" he came and slumped on the edge of the bed on which Rose was laid and their daughter was sleeping in a cradle nearby. "But it is just like I am discovering the other side of her also. By the time I finished reading last time she was just twelve years aged girl and was exposed to such type of situations to which a girl of her age should not be."
"There are so many girls like her around in the world who are exposed to quite unwanted situations even quite young to her age. There are such rascals in the world who give injunctions and medicines to girls to make them get puberty early." Sighing heavily Rose said.
"How horrible and terrific!" with a horrifying expression in his face, Williams said.
"Even more horrifying and terrifying thing is; we just don't try to understand the situation of helpless woman. All the time you are quite angry with your mom but you don't try to understand what circumstances forced her to do so."
"You always have a sort corner to my mom, supporting her." Williams laid parallel to Rose on the bed.
"I have soft corner to a helpless woman who took birth in an environment similar to mine. I know how difficult the poverty is and how helpless women would be manipulated by men. They do create such situations to women that they would be left with no option to do except prostitution." There were suddenly traces of sorrow in the voice of Rose.
Williams did not know what to say and closed his eyes.
"It appears to me that you do get an answer to your rancour on your mother in that book Williams. Go on reading that." Suddenly encouragingly Rose said.
Williams opened the book, flipped some pages, put his finger at some point and gave that to Rose. "You read it Rose. I want to hear while you are reading it.
"If you want it to be so; I have no objection." Rose took that book from him with sleepy eyes. She was feeling so much sleepy then but once Williams asked her like that she could not deny.
'Not much time passed after that day to me to become a woman. My grandmother was so happy that I have become a woman at last and her idea was to make me do that immediately but my mother did not agree to it. Even my father also was not supporting to her and has objection to make me do that, my mom was very much firm.'
"Are there fathers in the world like him also?" Williams could not remain without exclaiming.
"There are worse fathers than his in the world." Rose said. "It is mostly the mothers in the world who worry about their daughters in such situations." Then she continued her reading again.
'I am not going to let my daughter do that. Hundred percent I would not.' The firmness in my mom then was surprised to me and I came to know that how much my mom wished that I should not live a life like that. She was earning something through the profession and I don't know how the situation for me would be if everything is like that from then also. But my dad suddenly became ill and we have to expend lot of money for his treatment. The meagre amount that my mother was earning was nowhere to meet our expenses at that time. Then on one day I saw my grandmother was talking with someone while my mother was weeping in the corner of the room. After sometime my grandmother came to my mother and said.
'No one offers that much amount. We can come out of our present difficulties completely with that. You know sooner or later she has to do that. So, stop weeping, go to her and prepare her for it.'
