"I too don't know what is taking place!" with a puzzling expression in her face Evalla said. "I asked many a time to mom what is happening but she did not say anything. What all she says is; we must not suffer in the way she is suffering. If it is suffering why she is facing it at all? Father is not saying even that when I asked him about it."
"Mother is not saying, father is not saying and how we can know about it?" there came a puzzling expression in the face of Okatho. "You saw the new man who talked with our mom and dad a long time?"
"Did you mean that man after whose coming we both have been asked to leave the house?" Evalla asked.
"No, not he. He did not talk anything with our mother, did not you notice? I am talking about the man who came before him into our house."
"Of course I remember!" Evalla laughed. "He is appearing as a nice guy."
"By the conversation I understood that he is going to stay in our home. We may better ask him our questions and I hope atleast he would answer them to us." Okatho said.
"Why you are thinking that he would answer our questions?" Evalla knitted her brows together.
"I don't know but just a hunch." Okatho said. "Anyhow what is the loss if we ask him?" then her face suddenly brightened. "Just see he is coming here!"
"What you both little beautiful girls doing here?" he looked into the faces of both the girls and asked them. "What work you both got here?"
"This river bank is so much enjoyable to us." Okatho said. "We prefer to come here everyday and play."
"Is that so?" Charakka nodded his head. "Anyhow ever you saw Pomya here?"
"Who is that Pomya?" Okatho and Evalla exchanged surprising glances and Evalla said. "First tell who is Pomya and what she or he does. Then we can tell you whether we saw her or not."
"She is a devotee of Amsara and appears to the people who are the devotees of Amsara and to those who are like by that god. It was she who appeared to your grandfather Michivako, inspired and guided him to adore Amsara. She mostly appears to her devotees on the bank of this river."
"Our great great grandfather saw Pomya here? This river is here for such a long time?" Okatho surprised on hearing that.
"This river and this village Obbera have been in existence for a very very long time even before your great great grandfather Michivako." Charakka smiled.
"I saw the photo of my great great grandfather and he is very much handsome. I don't know why but I am very much attracted towards him." Evalla said.
"It is surprising! On one hand your mother does not like that Michivako at all and her own daughter you are being attracted by him so." There was surprise on the face of Charakka.
"But I am of the same opinion and feeling mother has. I too don't like that man Michivako." Okatho's face was filled with a disgusting expression.
"Do you know why your mother doesn't like Michivako?"Charakka looked into the face of Okatho.
"I don't know." There was confusion in the face of Okatho but she said with firm voice. "But whatever mother does not like, I don't like. I am my mother's daughter."
"Alright Charakka. We both want to ask you a question." Suddenly Okatho remembered what she and her sister wanted to ask him. "You have to answer it for us."
"You may ask any number of questions and I promise you that I answer them providing I know the answers." With a sincere expression in his face Charakka said.
