Casper's POV
I felt blessed to hear the last bell of the day and it was my cue to get the hell out of that classroom. I made the grave mistake of sitting at the back because I was the furthest from the exit and my path to get there was full of obstacles (alphas). It had been difficult to ignore their remarks and insults and my muscles were sore from being tense for so long.
I stood up and began speed-walking towards the door, keeping my head down to make sure I didn't provoke the beast out of anyone. I accidently bumped shoulders with someone and chills scuttled down my spine.
"S-sorry," I muttered.
The person grabbed me by the back of my hair and I was instantly pulled back.
"Who the fuck do you think you are to be barging past like that?" He was dangerously close to my face. I was attracting attention like a magnet and I felt desperation settle in my stomach.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, I-" I was thrown to the floor before I could finish my sentence and the corner of a desk dug into my shoulder. I grimaced in pain.
I looked up to see multiple alphas looking down at me and all the worst possible scenarios rushed through my head. One of them began to reach down at me and my instincts forced me to cover my head. Someone please help me.
"There you are, Casper! Came to see what was happening when you wouldn't come out for so long. Good thing I did." A familiar voice and scent. Luis.
"What would my brother say if he knew you lot were picking on one of his wolves, hmm? A new one at that." Luis offered his hand and I gratefully took it to stand up. I could hear low growls emitting from the other alphas but I left before I could witness the situation escalate. Enzo and Nicolas were waiting for me in the hallway.
"Hey, we thought we'd come take you to the dining hall since En said he couldn't fully show you around yesterday. Um, are you okay?" Nikolas's brows furrowed, probably because he was trying to figure out why I looked so dishevelled.
Luis was right behind us and started pushing me towards the stairs. "We're going. Now." I was not going to protest.
Once we were outside, I forced myself to inhale to replace the stink of those alphas with cold fresh air. I could see Luis's bothered eyes darting towards me every once in a while but he didn't say anything. His chill persona from this morning had been completely replaced with annoyance.
"I wonder what they have for lunch today. I'm hungrier than usual." Enzo filled the silence.
"Do alphas and omegas eat in the same place?" I asked, wanting to say something to Enzo. But Nikolas was the one to reply.
"Yeah. It's not great since all three packs get mixed together and the authorities don't care for all the fights and violence that usually take place."
The rest of the walk was silent but it wasn't long before we reached the dining hall. It didn't seem too different from the Sun Residence Hall but it was noticeably smaller. The automatic glass doors opened and my eyes widened as my brain refused to compute the huge crowd before us. An endless number of tables were neatly arranged and food was being served on one side of the hall. Stairs led up to a balcony with more seating areas. For a place that held hundreds of people, it wasn't as messy as it could potentially be.
"Casper, you should sit with us. It'd be dangerous to leave you alone." Luis spoke in a dominant tone and I felt no choice but to comply, not that I wouldn't have. I nodded.
We headed over to the long queue. We eventually reached the food stalls where we had the option of cold or hot food. I decided I would just have a ham and cheese sandwich and a small ice cream pot. Luis led the way to a table where other Sun wolves had already made themselves comfortable. I instantly recognised Leo who had a black shirt underneath his unbuttoned uniform and it wasn't doing much to conceal his muscles.
