THE DAYS PASSED WERE A BLUR OF
recovery for Seven. Bucky remained by her side, helping her through the physical pain and emotional turmoil of losing her brother. The lie he had told her weighed heavily on his conscience, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her the truth. He feared the loss of her trust and love more than anything else.

One day, as Bucky went to get some food for Seven, the old man entered the medical wing. He walked with an air of authority, his presence commanding attention. He had been keeping an eye on the situation, waiting for the right moment to reveal the truth. He approached Seven's bed, his eyes cold and calculating.

"Seven," he greeted, his voice dripping with false warmth.

Seven looked up, surprised to see him. "What do you want?"

The old man smiled, a chilling expression that sent a shiver down her spine. "I thought it was time we had a little chat. There's something you need to know about your brother's death."

Seven's heart clenched at the mention of One. "What about him? Papa said you guys killed him."

The old man's smile widened, a predatory gleam in his eyes. "Did he now? Interesting. You see, there's more to the story than your father has told you."

Seven's eyes narrowed, suspicion creeping into her voice. "What do you mean? You killed guys killed my brother. Why would you kill him?"

The old man took a step closer, his gaze never leaving hers. "Your brother didn't die at the hands of us. He was killed by someone much closer to you. Someone you trust."

Seven's heart pounded in her chest, a sinking feeling settling in her stomach. "Who?"

The old man leaned in, his voice a whisper. "Your  dear papa. He killed your brother."

Seven's world tilted, the old man's words echoing in her mind. "No. You're lying. Papa would never do that."

The old man straightened, his smile gone. "Believe what you want, but the truth is, your father killed One. He saw him as a threat, just like HYDRA does. He wanted to protect you, but in doing so, he took away someone who loved you."

Tears filled Seven's eyes, her mind reeling. "Why are you telling me this?"

The old man shrugged, his expression indifferent. "Because you deserve to know the truth. Your father has been lying to you. You should know who he really is."

Seven's tears spilled over, her heart breaking. "Get out," she whispered, her voice shaking with anger and grief. "Get out!"

The old man turned and left without another word, leaving Seven alone with her thoughts. The room felt like it was closing in on her, the truth suffocating her. She couldn't believe it. She didn't want to believe it. But the old man's words had planted a seed of doubt in her heart.

When Bucky returned, he had food in his hands, he found Seven in tears, her body trembling with emotion. "Sev? What's wrong?" he asked, rushing to her side.

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with pain and betrayal. "Is it true?" she demanded, her voice breaking. "Did you kill One?"

Bucky's heart sank, the food in his hands forgotten. "Sev, I..."

"Did you?" she interrupted, her voice rising in desperation.

Bucky took a deep breath, his hands shaking. "Yes," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I did."
