DAVID'S POV
Upon arriving at Matty's house, I was greeted by him, and it seemed Matt was not present. Matty was playing video games, most of them were Mario based ones. I'm not very good at video games, which soon showed when he challenged me, because I never had any growing up. They were also pretty uncommon then as well to be honest. We played for half an hour or so, Matty beating me every round.
"Haha David, another round lost! Gosh, were you born in the seventeen hundreds or what?!" He joked, poking me.
I laughed, knowing he was kidding, and continued playing. After another round a knock was heard, so we answered, only to find Matt. He was grinning in accomplishment and arrogance. Matty and I glanced at each other, giving odd looks.
"Uh, so what happened to you Matt?" Matty asked, cautiously.
We let him in, and he sat himself casually down on the couch.
"Well, you see I like women. I'm assuming you two do as well. But last night I banged the hottest girl in the world!" He stated proudly.
I cringed at the last line, with it's thick grossness.
"Are you gonna call her back?" Matty's asked, and I think he's done that several times before.
Matt smirked and shook his head with swagger. I sat back, disgusted.
"This woman obviously likes you, so why aren't you going to call her? You said she's the most beautiful woman ever, so why don't you want more with her?" I asked, bravely to his face.
He sensed my tone of annoyance.
"Well when was the last time you had sex?" Matt smirked, sitting back.
I grinned and sat up straighter.
"Yesterday." I began, before standing up and pulling the back of my shirt off, "And here is your proof." I chuckled.
The two leapt up and touched my back along the little scratches. I pulled my shirt back down.
"You must be pretty good! This girl was clawing your back pretty hard! You ought to call her Edward Scissorhands." Matty exclaimed, laughing.
Matt rolled his eyes and sat back down. He brought the serious tone back to the conversation.
"Hey," He said holding his pointer finger against my chest and our eyes locked, "Just because you don't have many options for women, doesn't mean I have to try and build a relationship with every girl who's willing to have sex with me!" Matt raised his voice, I sat back.
Matty had a wave of uncomfortableness wash over him, and I'm sure I felt it too.
"Yeah, well at least I don't disrespect women and use them as objects!" I yelled, before leaving the house.
Man, I can never get along with this jerk. He's nice one second, and then cold and rude the next! How Matty puts up with him, I'll never know. I drove home to my apartment, and upon arriving I noticed it was already 1:45! I guess Jennifer and I did in fact wake up later than we thought.
I climbed from my car and into my house, then to my bedroom. It was cold, empty, and clean. My bed was made from a few nights before, and everything was as silent as could be. I missed the lovely sound of Jennifer walking around my apartment, with joy and happiness. She made my home warm and cozy, but now I am all alone. I take off my coat and shoes, and lay myself down onto the bed. I spread myself out like a star, on top of my sheets. My eyes close, and I think back to last night. The warmth of the bed, the sweat running down my arm, the sweet smell of her. How I wish, how I wish you were here. I miss her, although it's been only a day. The sound of her voice radiated in my mind, along with the beautiful shape of her naked body. Falling asleep slowly, I took in deep breaths, my chest rising and falling to my dreams....
JENNIFER'S POV
A gathering of women were at my house. Okay by gathering, I mean Court and Lisa. Close enough. We meet up whenever one of us begins dating another man, usually after we've slept together for the first time. Just to compare boyfriends and stuff, while chatting and gossiping. Court and Lisa were on the couch, and I was in the armchair David sat in earlier.
"Okay, so I'm dating this new guy," I couldn't say who, because Lisa can't know yet, "And we did it last night for the first time!" I announced, happily.
Courtney of course knew, but she faked a surprised look for Lisa. Lisa congratulated me, along with Courtney.
"So what's the lucky man's name?!" Lisa asked, really interested.
I bit my lip, deciding whether to tell her a fake name, or to just say I want to keep it to myself.
"Well, I want to keep it to myself because you guys might know him, so let's call him...John for now." I decided.
Lisa nodded understandingly, crossing her arms in her lap.
"So how was he?" Courtney asked, obviously faking it.
I smile to her, and wink.
"He was amazing! Really sweet and gentle, and with such little experience I was surprised!" I exclaimed, my voice higher at the end.
Lisa giggles and pats her legs excitedly.
"Wow, well he seems great! What's he like?" She asked, genuinely interested.
I turned to Courtney, and she nodded.
"He's...shy, but very sweet when he gets comfortable with someone. He's tall and thin, with lean muscles, and a bit lanky, but not too much. He is quite insecure, but a very gentle and soft spoken man, someone you could trust. He listens intensely as if every word I say means the world to him, even if I'm just listing a grocery list. His smile and awkward way is adorable, and his cooking is amazing... I'm sorry, I just really like him!" I answer, smiling.
I'm so lucky to have a wonderful man like David in my life. I used to take advantage of his feelings a bit, or ignore him. But now I realize that was wrong, and unfair to do to him.
"But enough about me. How's things with your husband, Lisa?" I ask, changing the subject to avoid more questioning.
She looks away for a second, as if something was wrong.
"Oh we're fine, everything's alright. I dunno, I feel like our relationship is a little boring, like we've gotten everything out of it either of us can. I love him, its only because he's got this new job that goes really late, like ours, so I never see him anymore." She softly speaks.
We both nod, understandingly.
"Yeah, that's the same reason I broke up with my boyfriend a few weeks ago," Courteney began, "We were never serious, only dated for a few weeks, but our schedules would never work out together." Court muttered.
Their talk of bad luck had brought the mood down from giggling and excitement to talking of our romantic failures. We talked for a few more hours, watched a movie, but then it was time for them to leave.
"Well guys, I think it's time for me to take off." Lisa yawned, getting up.
Court nodded, and joined her at the door. As she opened it, Lisa turned back one last time.
"Hey I hope very thing goes well with this new guy, he seems lovely." She states, before closing the door behind them.
I smile to myself once they're gone. Too bad she doesn't even know yet.
I crawled to my bedroom, peeled off my clothes, and laid across the cold bed. The sheets were flat but wrinkled, probably from the passionate night before. David's sweet smell came through my blankets, and hugged them close to my body, almost feelings his divine warmth he spread through my body. Almost. I fell asleep to the wonderful smell of David.
