JENNIFER'S POV
A waiter speedily walked up to us and led us to a long table in the back of the restaurant. David pulled out my chair for me, so I thanked him. He's such a gentleman! He gave me his coat, he opened the door, and he pulled out my chair! He's so sweet! Any girl would be lucky to have him as a boyfriend.
The sun has start to set, and the hills glow from the beautiful light. The fireplace with a cackling fire burned across from us in the secluded area of the restaurant. A waitress came by and handed us all menus. I glanced through, but I don't know what to get! Everything sounds delicious to me. The ravioli, the steak, and the salmon all sound marvelous! I turn to David. I rest my hand on his wrist, to ask him which meal I should get. I can feel his pulse, and it's speedy. I wonder why as he looks up at me.
"So, what are you getting?" He asks, closing his menu and setting it in front of him.
I smile.
"I don't really know. I was thinking of getting the salmon, that sounds really great. What are you going to get?" I ask.
He nods his head.
"I am, uh, going to get the steak. It sounds good." He replies.
By now, the sun is almost set, and you can just barely see the rays in the sky.
DAVID'S POV
Wow, she looks so beautiful. The way the fire reflects in her eyes! And the way the light illuminates her face, just barely. She's so pretty. I want to just lean in and kiss her. I want to hold her in my arms, and keep her warm all through the night. I want to fall asleep next to her, and wake up with the advantage of seeing her face across from mine. I want to yell out to the world how much I love her. I love her. Did I just say that? Well, actually, I thought that. But I can't. I can't love her! I've known her for one day, and I'm already falling for her. It's just a crush! Yeah, that's what it is! It'll go away...right?
And, she likes better men than me, and she deserves that! She deserves a man who will treat her with so much respect and love her endlessly. She deserves a man who- wait, I can do all of this! I'm perfect for her, I think! I'd love to be her boyfriend. Wow, her boyfriend! That's a great title to have. Jennifer's boyfriend!
Everybody ordered, and the food was delivered. She loved the salmon, and she tried some of my steak. She really enjoyed it! She turned towards me, in the darkness. I could see her face, and the light was still perfect. Oh...the glowing fire.
"So what are you into?" She asked, smiling.
I shrug my shoulders.
"I uh, like stupid things." I reply, nervously.
She chuckles and pokes my chest.
"Like what? If you like it, it can't be that stupid!" She asks.
I raise my eyebrows questioning her.
"Well, I'm pretty geeky. I'm kind of like Ross in that sense. I used to love comic books, dinosaurs, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. I still kind of like those..." I blushed.
JENNIFER'S POV
He was sort of quiet, but still pretty cute. When he blushed, I thought it was adorable. Is he nervous? Is he not good with people? Probably. He's most likely not great with meeting new people. That's it. It must be.
"So, talk nerdy to me." I smile.
He bursts out laughing, causing everyone to turn towards us. They give him a look, and then return to their conversations, which are probably way more sophisticated than our dinosaur discussion.
