Lucy's POV:
the next morning I woke up to luke yelling on the phone. he was pacing in front of the bed
Lucy: what's wrong?
Luke: shut up bitch! i'm on the phone!
he whisper yelled to me
Lucy: sorry
i whispered and he glared at me. After a few minutes he walked back over to the bed and just stared at me.
Lucy: everything ok?
Luke: does it look ok?!?
Lucy: well what's wrong?
Luke: my job is mad at me because you made me late yesterday! i might get fired because you're so needy!
Lucy: i-i'm sorry
Luke: you better be! maybe stop wearing towels around the house! fucking bitch!
Lucy: i-i'm sorry i won't
Luke: whatever! go make us some money!
Lucy: o-ok
him yelling was better than the yelling and hitting or just hitting. It's obviously better than when he forces me to do... stuff. Maybe he just needs to let his anger out, right?

Tim's POV:
I woke up the next morning with my 3 hours of sleep again. Once again, it was thinking of Lucy that kept me up. I made some coffee and got dressed. I headed into my truck and went to work.

Lucy's POV:
after a minute of silence i got up and showered. I kept staring at the bruises, hand prints on my thighs. How he bruised my skin when he pulled my legs apart. I was scared he would come in so i was in my uniform before blow drying my hair. The back of my uniform was now wet so i tried to blow dry it dry. It was still a little damp but it's better than what happened when i wore a towel. I put my hair in a nice bun and left the bathroom. Luke was still mad at me so i got a blow to the stomach and a kick to the side. I let him have it. I gave him what he wanted and laid there limp. Once he walked away I got up and went to my car. I drove to the station and arrived once again early. I headed into the break room and saw tim there.
Tim: is it a habit of yours to make sure you can see me early every morning?
he said smiling
Lucy: don't flatter yourself
Tim: too late
he stared at me for a minute
Tim: you okay?
Lucy: uh yeah
Tim: that's not very convincing
he said before taking a sip of his coffee
Lucy: it should be
Tim: why?
Lucy: because i am ok. What about you?
Tim: what about me?
Lucy: you were shot, and i mean.. isabel
Tim: right
Lucy: as Tim and Lucy of course
Tim: um well it hurts like a bitch, i mean, i've been working on it so I'll be fine for work. Isabel... well... she's Isabel
Lucy: I understand
Tim: Luke being hard to handle
Lucy: I guess you could say that, but it's fine because when he's mad it's mostly my fault anyway
Tim: what do you mean when he's mad?
Lucy: oh you know, like when you're mad, he just yells sometimes. It's fine though
Tim: Lucy, does he yell at you?
Lucy: like once in a while, it's fine Tim
Tim: ok, well if he ever seems to be in a bad mood, you can always come over to my place
Lucy: thanks
Tim: as Lucy and Tim, not Chen and Bradford
Lucy: obviously, oh and thanks for letting my name go first
Tim: i didn't think you'd notice
Lucy: i'm very observant
Tim: so am i
there was an awkward silence
Tim: hey
Lucy: yeah
Tim: last night i couldn't help but think of you, not in a weird way, just in a sense that something was wrong
Lucy: really?
Tim: yeah, don't flatter yourself
Lucy: too late
i said mocking him
Tim: very funny, now are you really okay?
Lucy: yeah
Tim: ok, i'm not going to force you to open up to me, but if you do need to talk, i'm here for you
Lucy: thanks, same to you
Tim: well we better get going for roll call
Lucy: yeah

Tim's POV:
I know she's lying, she's not okay. I mean just yesterday she was in here crying. But why? maybe it's family issues? i don't want to throw myself into her personal business, i get that i'm her TO. But, off duty, i want her to know she can talk to me. I open the door to roll call for her. I sat down and so did she.
Grey: Everyone have a seat. Today is a special day for our rookies. 'Cause today we switch things up. That's right. Everybody gets a new training officer. Nolan, you'll be riding with Officer Lopez. West, you'll be riding with Officer Bradford. And Chen, you'll be with Bishop. But learning how to navigate a new T.O. is not your only challenge. By the end of next shift, I expect every rookie to uncover something personal about their training officer, something they don't want you to know. This will be a test of your investigative instincts and your fortitude. Best insight will win a day off. Worst one handles Saturday night cavity searches. That's it. Good luck.
I thought I could get Lucy to talk if we rode together today but now, i'm with West.
