Lucy's POV
Another week has gone by. I'm really tired all the time and I think Tim is noticing. I'm trying to watch my weight even more. I think my mom and Luke are right about me being overweight. I could barely get out of bed this morning because last night I was beaten really bad when Luke found me at the bar with armstrong, nolan, and jackson. He insisted i was cheating on him with this guy named Caleb at the counter i ran into. Luke had a day off so he slept in. That was lucky for me so i took it for granted. I soon regretted that.

Tim's POV
I woke up the next morning and headed to work. I got no sleep last night and this past week has been really exhausting. Today probably will be too, we have a serial killer coming in today. At the station i headed to the break room but Lucy wasn't there.

Lucy's POV
I got out of bed and headed to the shower. I got out and Luke yelled at me for waking him up. I thought I was quiet enough. Obviously i got hit a few times because of that. I know he needs his sleep.
Lucy: I'm sorry Luke
Luke: God, do you ever shut up?
Lucy: sorry
Luke: I said shut up! Just let me sleep! for pete's sake!
I nodded my head and left the hallway where he hit me. He headed to the bedroom and I checked the time, i'm usually at the station by now, i guess  Luke held me up. I didn't have time to put my hair in a bun yet so I just left it down as I drove to the station. I was 30 minutes later than I usually get here leaving only around 10 minutes before roll call. I walked into the break room and there was Tim with his coffee
Tim: began to think you might not show up for our morning meeting
Lucy: missed me?
Tim: funny
we both smiled
Lucy: Sorry I was late
Tim: don't be, besides technically you're early
Lucy: i'm late to being early
Tim: you don't need to show up early, it's okay
Lucy: i know, but don't act like you don't enjoy talking to me at least a little bit
Tim: i don't know what you're talking about
Lucy: come on
Tim: maybe a little bit, but so do you
Lucy: it's nice to have company
Tim: point proven

Tim's POV
I noticed her hair was down, it looked really pretty down. I mean it always looks pretty but today it's just, wow. What am I thinking? she's my rookie, she has a boyfriend. I just started dating her friend. It's fine. I can think someone looks nice without liking them.
Tim: You plan on wearing your hair like that today?
Lucy: oh, no, sorry
Tim: what are you sorry for?
Lucy: I forgot to put it up this morning
Tim: it's fine, there's still time before shift to put it up
Lucy: I'll have to ask Lopez for a hair tie
Tim: I'm sure she'll have one. Want a cup of coffee?
Lucy: that sounds amazing
i poured her a cup of coffee and handed it to her.
Lucy: thank you
Tim: no problem
we both kind of stood there for a minute
Tim: okay, hey roll call starts in 5 minutes, why don't you go get that hair tie from Angela?
Lucy: good idea, I will see you on shift
Tim: bye
Lucy: bye
i gave him a small smile and headed out the door. I walked into the changing room and saw Angela about to head out.
Lucy: Hey! Officer Lopez?
Angela: Hey Lucy, what's up?
Lucy: I was wondering if you have a hair tie I can borrow?
Angela: yeah come over here
I followed her and she handed me one
Lucy: thanks
Angela: happy to help. And hey, Lucy
Lucy: yeah?
Angela: you don't have to call me Officer Lopez all the time, Angela is okay to say
Lucy: right, yeah, sorry ma'am
Angela: ma'am? Angela, Lucy!
Lucy: sorry Angela
Angela: there you go, now let's go, we're going to be late
Lucy: right, thank you
we walked to roll call together and sat down after i put my hair in a bun.
Grey: At 0500 this morning, guards at Central California Women's Facility prepared prisoner 081316 for transport. Rosalind Dyer, the most rare of unicorns -- a female serial killer. For the last five years, she's been on death row, confined to an 11-by-8 cell. Today, she's coming to us. Now, before I get to assignment details, I want to defer to Assistant District Attorney Del Monte for background on Ms. Dyer. Sean?
Del Monte: Thank you, Sergeant. Good morning, everyone. My name is Sean Del Monte. For those of you who are not familiar with this case, in 2015, Rosalind Dyer was convicted in the torture and mutilation killings of seven individuals.
Armstrong: But there's evidence that the body count is much higher.
Del Monte: In three of those seven murders, the bodies were never recovered, so now Dyer has agreed to show us the location of those three victims.
John: in exchange for what, sir?
Del Monte: Well, her sentence will be commuted from death to life without parole.
Tim: Why the hell are we cutting her that break? She killed people, tortured them, she deserves to die
Del Monte: Well, it's not for her. It's for the families of those victims. They've been waiting a long time for closure.
Armstrong: Yeah, what about the other families? The ones that we promised the death penalty? What do we tell them? 'Cause they're calling me.
Del Monte: Just tell them it's above your pay grade, Detective.
Angela: Why does she have to come here? Can't she just tell you where the bodies are?
Del Monte: She claims not to know their precise locations. Griffith Park is over 4,000 acres. Dyer says the only way she'll be able to identify the dig sites is by retracing her original footsteps.
Grey: Okay, let's get down to it. First, the station needs to be locked down for her arrival. Processing is officially closed for business. All suspects in our holding cells will be shipped to the Twin Towers.
we all got up and headed to processing, i stood by john and jackson
John: This is so surreal. An honest-to-God serial killer?
Lucy: The psychology is pretty fascinating -- well, biology, really. Brain-scan research shows clear differences in the amygdala and the supramarginal gyrus of a signature killer.
Jackson: english please?
Lucy: They lack the ability to feel empathy. There's also data that suggests some psychopaths could have a decreased sense of smell.
John: Making it easier for them to deal with dead bodies? Man, the universe has a sick sense of humor.
we finished processing our group of criminals and i headed over to Tim.
Lucy: I was in college when they found the first victims. It was all anyone talked about -- that and "How could a woman be so barbaric?"
Tim: I worked one of the scenes. Fourth victim -- Lisa Cruz. Homicide detectives warned me not to look at the body. Should've listened.
Lucy: Oh, my God.
we reached the end of the hallway and all of a sudden i saw Caleb, the man from the bar. i was confused
