Lucy's POV
These past two weeks have been the same cycle over and over again. Wake up, get hit, go to work, talk to Tim, go through some Tim test, go home, get beat up, go to bed. Tim has noticed when i get a new noticeable injury like the had from the beer bottle. It's like a living hell but at least work and sleep is an escape. I'm starting to think this isn't all my fault. And relationships really aren't supposed to be like this. Tim is really nice to me and Angela doesn't seem to get hit by Wesley so why does Luke do it to me? Is it really my fault?

Tim's POV
I got up early as usual and headed to the station. i ran into lucy in the break room but she looked flustered when she saw me. she ran out of the room.
Tim: lucy?
she just left

Lucy's POV
today i just need a break from everything and everyone. I know tim just wants to talk and i'm not mad at him at all, just everything with luke, i can't risk tim finding out more than he already does. i can't face another angry luke because of tim. i know i will face an angry luke either way but when it's about tim, it's even worse. left the break room and headed to the changing rooms. I saw angela and nyla talking. I avoided them and went into a stall. I just sat there trying to ignore the constant pain i was in as always. i noticed that when i walk i'm a little hunched over and my hand is always laid across my stomach. I don't think anyone else will notice, it probably just makes me look tired or nauseous. after around 10 minutes i couldn't stand just being in that stall. i opened the door and walked out and headed into roll call. i just sat there misplaced waiting for jackson and nolan, i was still early even if a few minutes had passed. After around 20 minutes everyone started heading in and Grey started to talk. As time sat down and stared and me with this soft look. I quickly turned away and gave my focus back to Grey.
Grey: Today is problem day. So you know what that means
John: Actually, sir, I-I don't
Grey: Problem spots on your patrol route. Locations that attract crime like a felonious magnet.
Tim: Businesses used as a cover for criminal activity.
Angela: No-tell motels, massage parlors, dive bars
Jackson: Or anywhere that ex-cons gather to plan their next adventure
Grey: The spots you see every day and you vow to take them down if you have the time, but we never have the time. So today we make some
he stopped talking and started at Smitty who was whispering to the officer next to him
Grey: Is there a problem, Smitty?
Smitty: Oh, no, sir. I love playing whack-a-mole
Grey: Knock down a problem spot, it can pop back up anywhere. But that's the job, right? And since you're so excited about doing it, I think you should share your excitement with Officer West out there today.
Smitty: seriously?
Jackson: seriously
i don't know what i would do if Smitty was my TO for the day, it would be worse than Wrigley.
Grey: Yeah, seriously. That means, Lopez, you're with Nolan. Okay. Happy hunting out there.
we all got up and i headed to grab war bags. I sat in the shop with Tim.
Lucy: So, uh, what's our problem spot?
Tim: you'll see when we get there
Lucy: So what'd you do last night?
i said trying to make small talk and avoid the fact i avoided him this morning
Tim: Gym. Dinner. Study
Lucy: Rinse, wash, repeat
i said as a joke
Tim: what's that supposed to mean?
Lucy: Nothing. You know, it- it's just been a while since the divorce
i mean i guess his dating life is good small talk
Tim: You wanna jog behind the shop all day, Boot?
Lucy: No. No. No, sir. Shutting up
Tim: that's what i thought
after a few minutes he started talking again
Tim: were you okay this morning?
Lucy: yeah, why?
Tim: you seemed flustered, you rushed out of the room. we didn't have our daily talk
Lucy: oh, yeah, sorry about that
Tim: it's okay
there was a bit of an awkward silence
Lucy: i wasn't trying to avoid you
that was clearly a lie

Tim's POV
that was clearly a lie, she ran right past me and hid in the changing room or sat alone. not even a hi or a smile.
Lucy: i just want a little break from everyone for now, you know?
Tim: so i didn't do anything?
Lucy: no, you're fine, i just... i'm a bit... just overwhelmed i guess
Tim: if you don't mind me asking, by what?
Lucy: the job i guess
that was a lie, i see right through that
Tim: you've been handling it good so far, and a police officer is a tough job. you showed me you could handle it many times, what changed now?
