I apologize ahead of time if there are any misspelt words and if the grammar and punctuation is off. Unless of course when it comes to Megamind and his use of words....chuckling... enjoy

Megamind's POV

Two days went by since Raven's arrival in Metro City. During those two days, my servant spent cleaning the lair and observatory, taking a wet wash cloth and running the square, rigid material along every hard surface she crossed paths with.

Organinzing my evil plans and tools so I would find them easier atop my own personal bench, separating paper from pen and pencil with holders for storing pens, pencils, erasers, and paper clips while putting my designs into a rectangular drawer under the bench's surface.

Minion praised Raven for her cleanliness and organization, running his mecca-Gorilla finger pads along every surface for inspection; especially because of getting good quality fish food for him when she went shopping for food for me and for my fantastic fish.

Cooking was another matter Raven tackled with ease. She flitted around the kitchen while pouring and measuring ingredients; adding and stirring, sometime kneading with her bare hands; as if she had cooked and baked a hundred times.

Her food always made my tastebuds burst with delight. Raven always brought me food during eating hours whenever I was caught up in my evil designs, and all but shoved the varied edibles in my face to help me remember to eat if I forgot her earlier reminders, "master, don't forget to eat," she would tell me while I worked. "Your brain needs the energy and nutrition to properly function."

"Master." That was the word she kept calling me. For the last two days, whenever Raven addressed me, she always used the word "Master." Was that how servants addressed their masters? — by calling them "Master?"

Not once did Raven address me by my real name again. From our shared conversation two days ago, the female had all but made clear to me not to push her when I brought up the topic. "Trust is a two-way street," she said, making clear she needed time to get used to me and I her. We both had confirmed as much when we said, "don't push me."

Not once, did Raven make a peep about her living situation after thanking me for giving her a place to stay. Not once did she make a peep about the tasks given to her. She was relaxed while carrying out her chores and helping me with my evil plans.

Raven was the best servant anyone could ever ask for. But she always clamped shut or threw her walls up whenever I asked about her personal life. "Don't push me," she had said, letting me know I was crossing a boundary she only wanted to talk about when ready to do so.

I understood the need to not be pushed when it came to my servant's personal life. We were two people who needed to open up in our time, not the time of others.
When the third day came around, however, I currently watched the news to find out Roxanne Ritchi The Nosy Reporter was closing in on the truth about my servant by rising questions directed Raven's way. The reporter was good at her job, and she won't rest until she finds out the truth. I needed to find out the truth first from my servant before the reporter got to her, putting her on the spot with questions.

After clicking off the tv, I walk over to Raven, who was in the middle of getting ready to make an errand for me. I use the situation to open up conversation with my my servant "Hey, Raven. Can we talk for a minute?"

Raven had just finished fixing the hole in the roof of the fake observatory and now turned to give me her attention while getting ready to leave. "Sure."

"News has been spreading around Metrocity regarding you not being a citizen here."

"Obviously."

I frown at her, but when she gives a motion of her hand, I continue. "Where are you from?"
