Vincent sat up and his eyes widened a bit when Rody said he had something about the confession. He turned his chair to Rody fully then stood up. "Come in." He muttered as he walked over, Rody stepping inside the office then Vincent shutting the door behind Rody.

Rody let out a shaky sigh as they both walked over to Vincent's desk, preparing himself mentally to say what he was going to. He looked down and started to fidget with his hands. "Okay..." He whispered, trying to get out what he was wanting to say. "I do like you," Rody said slowly.

Vincent perked up at that, smiling at first until he realized there was more to that sentence, his smile faltering. "But?" He raised an eyebrow.

"But you know it's like... illegal or something like that so I don't think we should date." Rody felt guilty saying that but he didn't want to get in trouble for just dating someone.

Vincent furrowed his eyebrows and sighed, crossing his arms and looking down like Rody was doing. He understood where Rody was coming from but a part of him felt angry at that answer. He pushed that feeling down though. "Aright." He took a deep breath in then stood up straight, looking at Rody.

Rody looked up at Vincent to see Vincent's reaction. He didn't seem too sad with that answer but Rody could tell he didn't like that answer, furrowing his eyebrows as well.  He raised an eyebrow when Vincent only said one word. "Alright?" He questioned.

Vincent nodded, "Alright, that's fine." He finished the sentence. He didn't see any reason to push Rody, not wanting to make Rody uncomfortable or anything like that in a relationship. Despite himself, he rather his partner be happy in the relationship so that meant not forcing or pushing them into it.
