Tony looked at himself in the reflection of the metal elevator doors, straightening his tie, and when the doors opened he stepped aside and Natasha walked in, smiling at him and Morgan.

"Hello you two," she said, who was wearing her Black Widow costume.

—Hello, Nat. How was your mission?

"I think him being here and alive answers the question on his own." Nat shrugged. They both laughed.

—Thank you again for agreeing to take care of Morgan tonight.
—You're welcome, Tony. Ready to have your first mission since your retirement?

—The question is: Is the world ready for the return of Ironman?—Tony smiled smugly and Nat laughed.

All day long, while he stayed at home, Peter wondered what it was that made his dad Steve so happy.

—It was strange, seeing my parents like this this morning during breakfast.—He admitted while talking on the phone with LEN.—When they said goodbye, I almost expected it was going to be with a kiss, like they did most of the time before that they would separate. he felt... even for a while...

"As if they were still together?" LEN asked.

"As if they were still together?" LEN asked.

-Yeah. Exactly that.—Peter sighed.—The strangest thing was that Morgan was there, so it also felt like she wasn't just my half-sister...—He pursed his lips sadly.—Strange how things were, LENNY, are they? You know? Not just before my parents separated... but... before you left...

LENNY sighed.

—I miss , Peter. I miss you.

Peter felt his cheeks flush.

"So... uh... LENNY..." He cleared his throat. "How have you been?" I mean... since you moved and so...

—Well, California is very different from New York, but it's cool that we have a house near the beach. Since Jessica and Luke got married, they haven't stopped being clingy, my uncles say they are in the "Honeymoon stage." Also, a few days ago I started at my new school and it is very interesting.

-Oh yeah?

-Yeah. Everything is so different, it feels strange...

"Petey?" Steve looked into the room. Peter got up and sat on his bed to see his father. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I came to tell you to get ready." We'll go visit Carol and Thor.

Peter nodded.

—LENNY, I have to go. We'll talk tomorrow, okay?

-OK. Goodbye, Pete.

Peter hung up the call smiling, and when he saw that Steve was smiling at him with a raised eyebrow, he felt his face turn completely red.

Steve and the kid went to Carol and Thor's house and while Steve and Thor talked Peter watched Carol bake cookies in the kitchen.

"Okay, you can try the dough, but just a little bit." Carol said using a spoon to take some of the cookie dough and give it to PETER, who after eating it, hIS eyes shone.

"Will you give us your recipe someday?" Peter asked.

—They'll have my cookie recipe when I die.

—But... aren't you immortal or something?

—Exactly.—Carol smiled at them as she put the tray of cookies in the oven. —Later they saw Carol take out the tray of cookies at the same time she received a call, and the woman asked Peter to answer the call and Put it on speaker. "Yes?" Carol asked while Peter held the phone close to her. She closed the oven door using her foot and set the cookie sheet on top of the kitchen island.

—Carol! Are Steve and the kid with you?! — It was Natasha, and she sounded worried. Carol looked confused, and she looked at Peter. She took off her gloves and grabbed the phone, removing the speaker and holding it to her ear.

—Yes, Nat. Everyone is with me. What's wrong...? — Peter saw her aunt turn pale while an expression of horror formed on Carol's beautiful face.

"Aunt Carol?" Peter asked, starting to worry.

"Is everything okay?" PETER asked.

Without seeing the children, Carol ran towards the room where Thor and Steve were, and was followed by Peter .

"What's wrong?" Thor asked when he saw her.

Carol turned to look at the child, looking anxious, and Thor took that as a sign to get up and lead the child away from the room. Carol sighed and looked at Steve.

"H-There's been an accident..." Steve gasped and Carol swallowed. "It's Tony... during his new mission he... he's very hurt, Steve." They're taking him to the Tower infirmary now...

Steve felt the air leave his lungs.
