____________________________________The sun shined through the blinds, I turned the other way I expected a few minutes of peace but my maid burst in,

She threw the curtains open, "Wake up my lady!"

I put pillows over my ears, "Come sleepyhead, slumber no more, dost thou mean to sleep the day away?"

She pulled the cover off of me, I groaned before sitting up. "Why do I have to wake up so early?"

"Pray, come hither! Your brother's intended wife and her family await your greeting in the parlour."

"It's too early for you to be talking like that." I sighed before standing up "I keep telling you this talk to me normally not like we're in Romeo and Juliet."

"Such spirit! Check your pride I say."

I looked confused, "What?"

"Lose the attitude." She said before leaving, I changed into a nice dress,

Hopefully she has a good looking brother for me,

As I was walking down the stairs I made eye contact with a young woman, she looked around my age maybe slightly older.

She smiled I at me, I smiled back

Something about her made me nervous, which was very unusual for me,

I couldn't stop looking at her, I was so focused on her I lost my footing and slipped down the stairs, thank goodness I only had two steps left.

I laid on the floor for a sec staring at the ceiling

The young woman scurried to my side and got on her knees, "Are you okay." She asked

Her eyes were so pretty, she had ivory skin with rose colored cheeks, she had long dark hair that was tied up out of her face.

"Adriana." My mother called she was standing near the young woman's family,

"I'm fine," I glanced at my mother then back at the young woman, "What a first impression." I joked she giggled before she helping me off the ground,

"You must be my future sister in law." She said with a smile, "Princess." I replied "Your the princess."

She nodded, "Can I show you around?" I asked with a slight head tilt, I was a few inches taller than her so I was looking down on her.

"I would like that." She smiled up at me, my stomach started to feel weird, there was a slight tension between us.

I glanced around and realized everyone was watching, I walked over to my brother she followed,

"This is my brother, your future fiancé." I put my hand on his shoulders, "He's going to make a very good husband."

I patted his back, "I think us men should leave the ladies to explore." My dad said stepping forward,

"Good idea, I could show Queen Amara my garden, and the princesses can do as they please." My mother had a smile on her face.

As everyone went there own ways me and the princess were left behind with a couple of guards,

I grabbed her hand, "How about I show you my room first." I said rushing her up the stairs,

We entered my room I closed the door and the guards stood outside, "This is my bed, I plopped down, I sleep here a lot. My bookshelf, my kitty, all of my clothes, gifts and gadgets."
