"When will you come back? " Soumya asked putting her head on his chest.

"It will take two weeks. But I'll try to back as soon as possible. I wanted to ask you to come with me. But you are going to Delhi after so many days after all."

"It's okay. You'll do your work fast and come to me. I'll be waiting for you."

He pulled her closer.

"What do you want me to bring for you from Singapore? "

"I don't want anything. If you want to bring anything for me then.....you can give me lots of chocolates. " saying that, she smiled sheepishly at his chest.

He caressed her hair and thought, 'She is just like a kid. Which girl wants chocolates instead of makeup and clothes of her age?'

"Shrey"

"Hmm?"

"How is your buasa?"

"Okay. She is tough to handle."

She chuckled.
"Why?"

"Actually, she has issues with everything. She finds faults in everything. So You should try to stay away from her." He also knew that his buasa might hurt Soumya with her words."And never mind her words. She will keep blabbering about everything. Just ignore her. Okay? "

She nodded.
"She was in Singapore for her husband's treatment at Muskaan's wedding. But why didn't she come to our wedding? "

Shreyansh didn't want to tell her the real reason for Buasa's not coming. So change the topic, he said,
"Do you know Vihaan and I always talked about her and how Fufasa lived with her? She is not an easy lady to live with. Everyone is irritated with her behavior. Everyone tried to understand her. But nothing worked. Even Dadasa and Dadisa are also irritated with her." said that he got no response from Soumya.
He looked at her and realized that she was sleeping.

Everyone was present there in the living room when Hema, Shreyansh's Buasa entered. She hugged everyone except Soumya. Soumya went towards her and bent down to touch her feet. But she stepped backward and looked at everything but Soumya.

Soumya felt bad. She composed herself and stood near Meenakshi. Shreyansh and Vihaan's jaw clenched by Hema's behaviour.

Shreyansh and Vihaan went to the office. Other members were talking with Hema in the living room.

Soumya was about to enter the living room when she heard.

" My Sona was a hundred times better than this third-class girl, "Buasa said with a disgusting tone.

Meenakshi said in a loud voice.
" Hema di, you don't have any right to talk about our daughter like this. And for your kind information, she comes from a good family. "

"Good family, my foot.I know this type of girls jo baade ghar ke ladko ko aapni taraf khichte hein.Aur wo keysi ghar se belong karte hein hume acchi tara se paata hein."
(I know this type of girl who gets attracted to boys from rich families. And I know very well what kind of families they belong to)

"Hema, Shut your mouth. You are talking about the future queen of Udaipur " Dadasa shouted. Soumya never saw Dadasa being angry. Even her father-in-law's eyes were red with anger, but he did not say anything yet.

A sob came out from Soumya's mouth. Tears were flowing from her eyes. She put her palm on her mouth to control herself. Her legs were shaking.

"Hema, you are crossing the lines. " Dadisa said loudly."You can't compare our Soumya with your good-for-nothing Sonakshi. "

"You're calling my Sonakshi good for nothing. Wo ladki aap logo ke ankhon pe parda de kar bethi hein.The girl is just using you all."
(That girl is sitting there covering your eyes)

The patience crossed the line and Rudraksh could not control himself any more. He stood up and shouted.
"Enough. Enough is enough. You can't talk about my daughter like this. I thought you would change after the things that happened with Your Daughter. But no, You never changed and You'll never change. I Won't want to see your face after tomorrow. " saying that he was about to leave the living room when he noticed that Soumya was standing near the living room. Her eyes were filled with tears. She was looking down.

"Soumya beta-"

Before he could complete it, Soumya ran from there to her room.

Rudraksh understood that she heard everything. He thought that he would apologize to her on Hema's behalf after she went.

She lay on the bed by her stomach and cried wholeheartedly. In the last few months, she got over her insecurities. BUT Hema's words reminded her of everything.

"She was right. I'm not perfect for him. Her every word was true. How can I forget that I'm fat? I'm not pretty. I'm just an average girl. I'm not perfect for the role of a Queen. Shreyansh deserves better." She said herself.

She looked at the Clock and realized that it was time to come, Shreyansh. She did not want him to see her in that vulnerable state. She went to the washroom, washed her face, and composed herself.

Like every day, Shreyansh came from his office, but he didn't find his wife. He greeted everyone and went to his room.
He entered the room and found Soumya coming from the closet.

"You came," Soumya said with a heavy voice.

He found something was wrong. He nodded and went towards her. He cupped her face.
"Baby, What happened? Why are you looking like that? "

She smiled which didn't go to her eyes.
" Nothing, I have a cough. "

He wasn't convinced by her answer.

"You should freshen up." saying that She went out of the room before he could say something.

Shreyansh didn't understand what happened to her. He never saw her like that. Her eyes were always shiny, but today, her eyes were different. He knew something was wrong.

The whole time, Soumya was silent and made a fake smile from time to time. The whole dinner time, She was just playing with her food. The thing was not unnoticed by Shreyansh. Hema didn't make any nuisance at the dining table.

They were lying on the bed in each other embrace.

"What happened with you, my love? "

Soumya did not say anything.

"I know something is wrong with you. You know you can tell me. Is buasa say som-"

Before he could complete it, She said.
"I'm feeling sleepy. Good night, Shrey."

"Good Night."

He finally understood that something happened to her which is related to Hema. He pulled her closer and kissed the top of her head.

He thought 'I've to figure out what happened today with her'
