Chapter 86
It must have been cold for Jungkook to have been standing out in the cold winter night.
A car stopped in the parking lot in front of the hotel. The door opened, and Jun and Dohee got out of the vehicle. However, another car stopped in front of them both after they got out o f the car.
It was ye-jun,
"ye-jun," Jun greeted.
Ye-jun asked, "What are you doing here?"
Jun replied, "I drove my girlfriend here to find Tae..."
While the two chatted, Dohee walked up to Tae and hugged him.
"I'm here for him too." Ye-jun squinted and looked at Taehyung who was not far away, "Why don't I leave it to you here? It's best to let him go to Jungkook's home."
Jun answered, "Sure. Don't worry. My girlfriend will handle it."
Ye-jun sneered. "If it weren't for your girlfriend, neither of them would end up like this."
Jun flushed in embarrassment. "My girlfriend just publicized the lie in advance"
Ye-jun interrupted, "Forget it. It doesn't make sense to discuss this now. I'll go first."
Jun nodded.
After ye-jun left, Dohee took Tae's hand and led him into Jun's car.
"Jun, let's go to my place."
Jun made an OK gesture. In the rearview mirros, he saw Taehyung's wet hair and indifferent little face. Although he did not know what had happened, he could tell that he was unhappy. The sour ending last night had caused both sides to suffer, and no one walked out unhurt.
When the car stopped at the entrance of the Dohee's Mansion, Dohee led Tae out of the vehicle. At the same time, Dohee glanced at Jun, hinting at him to leave. Then, Jun wisely got into the car and drove away.
After Dohee brought Taehyung inside, she eased Taehyung's nervousness by smiling and saying, "My parents come back very late every day. Let me take you to my room! The bed in my room is big enough for us to sleep in!"
Taehyung glanced at the living room, then followed Dohee upstairs mechanically. This was his first time at Dohee's house, and he only agreed to come because he did not want to go home and let his mother see him in a mess.
"Taehyung, you can wear my clothes! We're about the same size, and you can wear anything of mine." After Dohee brought Tae into her room, she first opened her dressing room and let him choose clothes.
Tae looked at the dazzling array of clothing, bags, shoes, watches... In an instant, he calmed down a lot.
"I can't immerse myself in pain." he walked out of the closet absentmindedly.
Dohee followed her and asked, "Taehyung, what's wrong?"
Tae shook his head. He must pull himself together, and he must provide a good life for herself and the two children in his belly. If he were depressed, he would not get anything but a crushing defeat.
Dohee guessed Tae's mood from the pained expression on his face.
"Tae, you've done a great job! If I were you, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to hold on," Dohee held his hands and said frankly,
"Although I think you can live a better life with Jungkook, it's better to live alone if it's so painful to be with him!"
"My pain is my own," Tae murmured, "If I didn't like him, I wouldn't be suffering at all."
Dohee led him toward the bathroom and replied, "Not many people can resist his charm. He's outstanding! He's just like a light, and it's not your fault. Don't overthink and take a shower first. Then, get a good night's sleep."
"Joey came to see me tonight." Tae stood at the bathroom door, stopped, wordlessly struggled to speak, and finally asked,
"Is something wrong with Jungkook?"
-
Dohee saw Tae's bloodshot eyes, and she took a deep breath, saying, "Last night's rainstorm was the heaviest in the past ten years, and the temperature had dropped to below ten degrees. Any normal person will definitely not be bedridden like him after a night's hail. I guess it's because he's recovering from a serious illness, and his body is relatively weak."
