Chapter 93
The doctor and Jenna were also in the room, and they were standing by the window talking about Jungkook's health.
However, Taehyung's feet were as heavy as mercury, and he could not bring himself to enter the room. When Joey turned around from the bed with the water in her hand, she immediately caught sight of Taehyung standing outside the door.
“Taehyung! What are you doing here!” Joey lowered her voice, afraid of waking Jungkook.
Then, she put the basin on the bedside table and strode toward Taehyung. Jenna heard the noises and walked toward the door as well.
Taehyung was afraid of waking Jungkook, so he took a few steps toward the stairs, but Joey thought he was trying to escape and quickly approached him, blocking his way.
“Taehyung! Are you making a fool of Jungkook?! If you don’t like him, then let him go! If you do anything to hurt him again, I’ll never let you go!” Jiey's eyes were full of hatred.
Jenna shouted sternly, “Taehyung, Jungkook does not want to divorce you because he is enchanted by you! I didn’t expect you to be this unappreciative! I was blind, and I had thought that you were a good person! If I had known earlier, I would have picked Joey to be Jungkook's wife! Only Joey truly loves Jungkook!”
Taehyung was not in the mood to fight back. After all, he was only there to see how Jungkook was doing. Now that he saw it, that was enough.
“Go and take care of him! I’m leaving!” Taehyung pushed Joey away and walked downstairs, step by step In the living room, a group of people led by Ye-jun all pricked their ears to listen to the movement upstairs. After Taehyung was “defeated’ and came downstairs, everyone was in different moods. Some people thought he was a joke, and others sighed with embarrassment. Nevertheless, their opinions were unimportant and what mattered was Jungkook's stance. Unfortunately, Jungkook was sick and asleep, and he had no idea what was happening.
“Miss Kim, you came by taxi, right? How about I drive you back?” Jung-su offered graciously.
Taehyung shook his head. “I’ll go back myself.”
After that, he walked toward the door.
Mrs. Min looked at Taehyung's dejected back, and he immediately chased after him. “Sir, you haven’t got your laptop yet.”
Taehyung snapped back to his senses. He turned around immediately, walked across the living room, and entered his room.
“I really want to go up and wake Jungkook,” Ye-jun said. “If Taehyung leaves tonight, I’m afraid he’ll never come back.”
Jung-su urged, “Then go up and shout! I’ll support you from here.”
Ye-jun glared at him. “Madam Jenna is here. I dare not.”
After a while, Taehyung came out, dragging his suitcase. He said he was coming back to get the computer, but it was an excuse. If Jungkook was awake and the two had a good talk, maybe he would not leave.
Mrs. Min blamed herself. She had asked Taehyung upstairs just now in good faith. What if Jungkook had woken while Taehyung was upstairs? It was better than him not having seen Jungkook, right?
“Sir, why don’t you wait until Master Jungkook wakes up and inform him that you are leaving?” Mrs. Min asked.
Taehyung replied. “There’s no need.”
Later, he dragged his suitcase and resolutely walked out into the cold winter night.
Jenna had come downstairs, incensed.
“Taehyung! Don’t ever come back!”
Yejun secretly sighed.
She was really making things worse!
Taehyung had always been stubborn. Additionally, he had not wholly calmed down because of Mr. Z’s matter, and now, Jenna had angered him again. How could Taehyung endure it?
Taehyung turned a deaf ear to Mrs. Jeon's threats. Soon, he disappeared from everyone’s sight. “You all saw it! I didn’t bully him! He left of his own will!” Jenna roared angrily.
