Yunlan never reached the bank before the shots were fired and when he saw what was happening, he knew to lie down and not move until he was identified. Something had spooked the bank robbers and they had run while firing at anyone who moved, but they didn't get very far and were wounded or killed in their attempt to escape. One of the officers came over and helped Yunlan to stand, while telling him that he wouldn't be needed after all, but he wasn't listening and felt dizzy as the officer grabbed him by his arm to steady him. Guard Li immediately stood beside him and explained about Yunlan's low sugar condition and took him out of camera view, before he teleported him home.
Guo Ying instantly appeared in the restaurant with a couple of the guards and removed Shen Wei before the uniformed police arrived, and took him home where Chu and Ava were nervously waiting for him with a guard healer who had been summoned after they'd found out that he'd been shot. Chu had met this female before and remembered her stern outlook from the last time, but she knew what she was doing whenever she treated someone, and he willingly stood back.
The healer removed everything around Wei's chest looking for the point of entry while Ava used wipes to help clean the area, and eventually they found what they were looking for. It was a small entry wound and the healer was surprised at the amount of blood loss, but as long as she could stop it and remove the bullet, she wasn't aware of any other problems.
Chu watched her as she operated and when she found the bullet, she passed it to him to examine later in detail. After she had finished her work, she took Chu to the side of the room to talk quietly to him.
"He lost too much blood for such a small wound, has he been in contact with dark energy recently, and I mean a weapon or tool but not his own energy?"
"Yes, he has a scar on his back from a ring containing dark energy, why?" Chu asked.
"He will bleed more than he should for any injuries, it would be better if he could remove the scar or not get injured."
Chu could read between the lines and he knew what she meant.
"How could it be removed?" He asked, knowing that it would cause him a great deal of pain.
"A continual stream of dark energy directed towards it but not his own, and it will destroy the scar and remove the after effects. I will leave you some more incense cones to contact me."
The healer took another look at Wei to make sure he was alright, before she bowed respectfully and quietly disappeared.
Guard Li had taken Yunlan to the kitchen for a coffee because he didn't want him to see Shen Wei before he was treated and covered in blood. He knew that whatever Yunlan was feeling was a warning that Wei needed help, and possibly that was something that neither of the couple had learned yet, so after the healer left, Li took him through to the medical room and brought a chair over for him to sit beside Wei's bed.
