It was just an ordinary cave but why was there a sudden appearance of an energy that no one had ever seen before. There were no signs of precious metals which could cause small fluctuations, no, this was something much stronger and he went to talk to the tracker.

No one was at home when Zhu Jiu walked in and had a look around the shelter, as he filled and boiled the kettle for some coffee, before the owner returned. He brought out two mugs and decided which one he wanted as he prepared them, and waited patiently. He knew everything about this man, from his way of catching animals, to how he rid himself of unwelcome visitors, and he allowed him the freedom to do whatever he wanted until it concerned his territory. Zhu Jiu was certain that whatever had happened on the plateau was a threat to be concerned about.

The tracker knew someone was waiting for him and by the confident attitude his visitor had shown by waiting inside his shelter, meant that he probably had some protection watching him and he didn't bother looking for them. If they were good at their jobs, he wouldn't see them anyway. When he entered his home, his visitor was sitting on his favourite chair.

"I came to ask a few questions, tracker, what is your name, what do I call you?" Zhu Jiu asked as he saw the annoyance in the man's face probably for several reasons.

"Call me Track, short for Tracker." He said snidely, he wasn't going to tell him anything he didn't want to and no one knew his name.

"I made some coffee Track, I've already poured you a mug as you can see, it's a normal one. Then we can talk at the table. Join me over here." He told him, which wasn't an invitation.

Track took his time and studied this visitor whom he'd taken an instant dislike to before he'd returned to his shelter, and saw the recognisable purple ribbon which identified him before Track sat down at the table. He lifted his mug and smelled it, nothing added he thought and took a sip to taste.

"I'll get straight to the point," Zhu Jiu said as he watched Track's lack of trust.

"There was a surge of energy on the plateau twice in the last three days and I wanted to know if you'd any idea what had caused it. Were there any strangers here recently? Have you got rid of any visitors this week? I know all about your activities and as long as it doesn't interfere with mine, I'm not interested."

Track stared suspiciously at this guy. He was the new boss who ran everything but something had worried him enough to bring him here to this forgotten part of the wilderness. It couldn't be the two lost campers, they were novices and harmless.

"Nope, no one this week, haven't seen a soul all week." Track lied but he enjoyed lying to this trespasser who walked into his home without asking.

Zhu Jiu knew that if there had been any visitors, they would probably be dead, so he asked him about the plateau and the history of the ground.

"Did you see any unusual light coming from the plateau this week, even lightning?"
