<Sc'the>
By the time I got to the Sanctuary I saw that I was already too late: The entire area was a sea of Soldiers: each of them going in and coming out of the forest at different times, and Red was no- where to be seen. I scanned the area from the roof I stood on, a little surprised that I could see so far away. There seemed to be at least a few hundred Lengths away from the building I was standing and the middle of the forest, but I was able to see the soldiers and trees like they were only a few paces ahead of me. Unfortunately I couldn't hear anything that was being said, but I was able to see a pair of soldiers pick something up:
A body covered in what looked like a green film of something.
I focused all of my attention on trying to see through the film at whoever it was they were hauling off, but I wasn't able to discern anything at this distance. And I couldn't get closer due to the sheer amount of people there. I saw them haul off a few more bodies and they seemed to be putting them in the middle of what looked like a circle of six crystals. As soon as the soldier, or guard--I didn't know what to call them anymore--stepped out of the formation all of the bodies disappeared and I was left wondering where they'd gone, and without a lead as to where to look next.
I changed buildings a few hundred times and looked around from a different angle, and that's when I noticed Freija standing outside: She looked extremely anxious about something and was watching the closed door like a predator, standing along with two others: one human and the other looked like a human-like alligator--who stood taller than Wreign did when hunched over.
I shook my head to clear my curiosity and wondered where Red was, she was with them. That I knew, but why wasn't she...I looked at the closed door and the familiar sense of dread crushed my heart.
No...No, this can't be happening. Not again. I didn't want to lose someone close to me again. Not like this.
I quickly got on that roof and scrambled around for somewhere I could sneak in: it seemed they were using on of the random buildings around or something, and that made it all the more worrisome of how bad Red's condition might be. It only took me a moment to squeeze down the chimney to get inside: it didn't matter that my scales were now entirely covered in black soot, it didn't matter that I was visible to anyone at the moment; all that mattered was that Red would be okay.
I heard a series of quick voices talking from somewhere downstairs and there was a growl of annoyance, "Dammit. She's losing too much blood. Where are those potions?" It was Wreign! He was in here and he sounded incredibly stressed.
Time seemed to slow as I peeked around the corner of the staircase leading down and the world froze as I saw her: Red was laying in the middle of what looked like the buildings living room with a large pool of blood slowly spreading out from around her. Wreign was standing over her head with both hands over her chest lit up with a reddish energy.
"It's almost here. She just has to hold out a little longer--" At that moment the door slammed open and I saw Freija coming forward with what looked to be an entire crate of glass bottles filled with a dark-red liquid. She practically collapsed next to Red with the crate right next to her head, grabbing one and uncorking it before carefully dumping it's contents in Red's mouth.
The wounds that had been seeping so much blood earlier started to close visibly and I could only stand there in shock as half of the crate was poured down Red's throat. As soon as the last of the horrible wounds on her legs sealed themselves everyone looked at Wreign. He was still holding his hands over Red's chest, but after a few moments her let out a deep sigh of relief, sitting back with a heavy thump.
"She's safe," He dragged blood hands down the side of his muzzle, not caring about the blood smearing his face. "She's going to be okay, but we still need to get her to some Healers because she still has a lot of broken bones and a little internal bleeding still." I breathed in relief as well. I wasn't going to lose someone else, I wasn't going to be alone again...
