Delilah stood in the mirror as she smoothed her dress out, she smiled when she heard no voices in her head, she also might just be going crazy

Delilah and Belly made their way down the stairs
"Morning everyone" Belly smiled announcing their arrival, Susannah was setting the table, Jeremiah was at the counter with Conrad while Steven and Laurel were by the stove

"You guys still want them together right?" Laurel questioned, the two sisters looked at each other and smiled

"Happy Sweet 16, Bels" Jeremiah smiled hugging her once Susannah broke the hug
"Happy early birthday, Lilah, you look fucking gorgeous" Jeremiah whispered hugging Delilah
"Maybe you can take it off later" she whispered kissing his cheek before smiling and breaking the hug
"Belly Button's finally getting old. Happy birthday, my sisters" Steven smiled eating some bacon

"Happy birthday, babys" Laurel smiled going over and hugging them

"Your mickey mouse and fruit waffles are ready" she added breaking the hug
"Actually, im not really, uh, hungry" Belly spoke up as Delilah grabbed her waffles

"Shall we open gifts? Yes, you can bring your waffles Lil"

Laurel had gotten Belly a book, "It's a first edition. I got it from a rare book dealer"

"I can keep them?" she asked as Laurel nodded, "We have a copy for us, but those are the original. I know you've been begging for them so you can keep them" Laurel smiled
"Thank you, mom" Delilah smiled placing it back in the box and keeping it by her, when Delilah turned 14 she began to beg and please with Laurel so she can keep them, she wanted them with her so she could look over and see someone does want her whenever she feels like no one does
"Ok, open mine now. At the same time" Susannah smiled passing the two girls first, they opened them to reveal a black velvet box

"Oh my gosh, it's gorgeous"

Susannah moved over as she put the necklace around Belly's neck, "My mom have me there pearls for my sweet 16" she smiled before moving over and putting the bracelet on Delilah
"They look great on you guys" Laurel smiled
"Oh, me next!" Jeremiah said passing Belly a gift, it was a key to go on her charm bracelet, "It's a good luck charm, to pass your driving test" he smiled before handing Delilah a box
She opened the box to reveal a clear box, there were pictures of her and Jeremiah, along with tickets to movie's they seen, gifts from arcades they won, a napkin she drew stars on, a paper that had "Delilah & Jeremiah Fisher" she wrote that once night when they were hanging out, she didn't expect him to keep it
"I love it, thank you, Miah" Delilah smiled leaning over and hugging him
"Thik fast" Steven said throwing wrapped gifts at the two

"You know, I-i think im gonna apply for some scholarships, and Dad thinks i can get some financial aid. I-I dont know. Ill see if i get in"
"Okay, um. uh, Conrad, do you want to give the girls your present?" Laurel asked as Belly smiled looking at him
"Uh, i forgot, and only got Delly a gift" he said tossing her a bag

Delilah didnt open the gift, she put it in a box as she grabbed Belly's hand, Delilah knew about Belly's crush on him, and she knew this was gonna hurt
"Uh, that's... that's cool. Um... i wasnt really expecting anything anyway, so..." Belly smiled grabbing Delilah's hand, tears in her eyes
"Oh, so i got to go. Um, i promised Cleveland that i'd show him some knots today, so... Happy birthday, belly" he nodded turning and leaving
"Hey. Why dont we take my car and practice driving before we have to pick up Taylor from the bus station" Jeremiah offered seeing Belly's face
"Sure" she smiled nodding
"Ok, slow and steady you're doing great. Just keep straight. You excited to see Taylor?" Jeremiah asked, his hand was behind the seat holding Delilah's, who sat in the back
"Yeah, uh, of course. So excited"
"You sure?" Delilah laughed seeing Belly's face
"Look, she's my best friend in the world, but, um, i mean, you know how Taylor is. She's like a hurricane"
"Oh, yeah, yeah. Hurricane Taylor" Jeremiah nodded as the three laughed
"And i guess i always feel like the supporting character around her, which, normally, i dont mind" Belly explained
"But it's your birthday, and you're the main character, Belly, not her. No offense, Delia"
"Oh, none taken" Delilah smiled, she knew how Belly felt around Taylor, and she knew how Taylor was
"Thanks, Jere" she smiled looking at him, causing her to swerve

"We're gonna need a part two to this driving lesson, ok?" Jere laughed
