March 9th, 2017.

[Amir = 19
Amon = 14
Ares = 10]

Amon stood in the mirror on the wardrobe, sighing shakily as he slid on his suit jacket. He looked at the red tie against his chest, pressing his lips together as he looked himself in the eyes. "You just have to get through today." He whispered to himself.

He closed the wardrobe door gently, looking around his room, landing on the picture of him and his mother on his dresser. Today was the day of her funeral and though he hated to admit it, this was the worst day of his life.

The boys were never too close with their parents but Amon loved his mother more than any woman on the planet, both of her younger boys did. They worshipped the ground she walked on and now the ground crumbled from underneath them.

Amon wanted to be just like Amir in this entire situation – collected and stoic. It was like he didn't even care... which was true, he didn't. He only showed face in support of his baby brothers, he couldn't care less about the unfortunate way his mother had to leave the earth.

Mo just couldn't help it though. While Amiri felt like she didn't deserve their tears, Mo couldn't stop himself from crying, he was managing a lot better than he thought he would, but the day prior was spent with him and Ares locked away in the room they shared, sobbing.

"Aye."

Mo's head quickly turned towards the door, his body relaxing when he realized it was just Amir. "You scared me."

"I bet I did. Where the hell is our little brother at? Phoenix is here and she won't shut up about him." Amir stood in the doorway, "Come here."

"What?"

"Tie is crooked." Amir muttered, fixing it. "You uh, you aight?" He cleared his throat, blinking awkwardly as he looked down at Amon.

"I don't know where he is. I can find him for you though." Mo avoided answering the question, not wanting to talk about his feelings.

"Yeah, good. Send him down when you do, I'll be down there messing wit' Baby Volkan or something." He opened his mouth to say something else but he closed it instead, pressing his lips together. "You won't be sad forever, Bull."

"I know." He whispered.

Mir tapped the door frame and left, walking down the steps to be with Onyx, Phoenix, and Jace.

Walking out of the room, Amon sighed heavily, about to just yell Ares' name instead, but then he saw the light on in his parent's room, making him frown.

He inched down the hallway, a small smile coming across his face when he saw Ares on his stool, standing up in the high mirror on his parent's dresser. He was failing miserably at tying his own tie.

"What are you doing?" Mo asked, the small smile still on his face as he walked further in.

"Borrowing one of Miri's ties for the funeral." Ares said, smiling back at his brother through the mirror.

"Hm." Mo let out a chuckle. "He will skin you alive. Here," He took his own off. "take mine." He tilted his head, watching Ares step down from the stool and walk over to him.

Mo kneeled down and took Amir's tie from Reese's hands. "Okay..." Mo sighed, putting the tie around his neck.

"Did you finish the speech?"
