(Deliadis POV)

I sat with my brother in the area where Narsil was kept. I was still rattled by the revelation that I had visions. It made no sense. I began to wish that our mother was here, so I could ask her about my father.

"Delia, are you alright?" I looked over at my brother, noticing he looked tense.

"I'm fine. Just wishing mother was here."

"I understand." The door in the room clicked open. I saw the man from my vision coming around the corner. I sprinted, hiding from him and unfortunately leaving my brother to fend for himself. I watched as the man walked towards Narsil. He then noticed the presence of my brother.

"You are no Elf." Well obviously. Idiot.

"The Men of the South are welcome here." My brother had to be so incredibly cordial.

"Who are you?" The greatest, though probably the dumbest, brother in history.

"I am a friend to Gandalf the Grey." That was one way to put it. If you called being dragged around and nearly dying multiple times on one wizard's behalf friends.

"Then we are here on a common purpose...friend." Oh he most certainly wasn't going to be my friend. He wasn't going to be my brother's either if I had any say in the matter. I walked away, passing by Arwen. I gave a smile, watching her return it. She was a good match for Aragorn. I liked her. As I walked into the gardens, I found Elladan. He had been avoiding me for the past few days. It stung for some reason, thinking about it. The fact that he could possibly hate me. The fact that my stupid ability had potentially driven a wedge between us. I quickly turned my back, beginning to walk away to another part of the gardens.

"Delia..." I turned my head, finding Elladan standing. He gave a half smile, and I returned it, very halfheartedly. "I did not mean to ignore you. I just...forget about it. Are you alright?" I nodded, beginning to walk up the path again. I couldn't get my breathing under control. "Deliadis..." I felt him grab my hand, "is everything alright?"

"It's fine Elladan. I'm just frustrated I suppose. We should both head to the dining hall I suppose."

"You are scared too. I can hear it in your voice." Elladan quickly dropped my hand, and I turned around to face him. I looked him in the eyes, taking a breath.

"I saw the man from my vision the other day. He's with my brother currently."

"What!" He looked enraged. I stepped back, a little frightened. "Did he hurt you? I swear if he hurt you-"

"Elladan! You're scaring me..." His eyes turned to face me, wide with a kind of fear I wasn't accustomed to. "It's alright. My vision didn't have anything to do with right now. Just please, calm down. You're scaring me." Elladan blinked away tears and quickly ran off. "Elladan!" My heart sank as he ran further and further away. I blinked away tears, and sat on the ground. I hadn't meant to hurt him. Not in the slightest. He had just scared me when he got angry. It was the first time I'd ever seen him get truly angry.

"Delia! Have you seen Elladan?" I turned my head to see Elrohir behind me. "I need him for something and my brother can be quite elusive. Any clue where...you are crying." I quickly wiped away my tears, swallowing the sob in my throat.

"He ran that way." I pointed in the direction he went, expecting Elrohir to chase after him.

"I will find my brother later."

"He probably needs you right now." Elrohir raised his eyebrows. He wasn't getting the point.

"It looks like you need me right now."

"Elrohir, just go after your brother. Please." His face fell a little, but he took off in the direction I had pointed. I just wanted to be alone now, so I wouldn't hurt anyone else. By the time curfew came around, I was starving and tired. I walked back to my room, locking the door once I was inside. I sunk down against the wooden doors, my heart aching for a strange reason.

(Elrohir POV)

I found my brother in our usual place, the roof. I climbed up and sat beside him, waiting for him to notice me. He simply looked up at the moon.

"Elladan. Hello! Elrohir to Elladan! Do I have to schedule a council or something?" My brother laughed as I smirked. He turned his head towards me. It was very obvious he had been crying. "Why are you crying?"

"Because I, dear brother, am a horrible elf and friend." I raised my eyebrows. Why was he so depressed lately?

"How so?"

"I scared Deliadis." I was taken aback. That did not make any sense whatsoever. "I scared her because I got angry." Now that made more sense. It was very few and far between my brother grew angry at something or someone. Whenever he did though, it was a sight. It was like a whole new elf was standing in front of you. I could see the regret in his eyes.

"Did you get angry at her?"

"No...I got angry because of another man." I started laughing. He had to be joking. My brother never fancied anyone, and him getting angry because of a man concerning Deliadis was absolutely ridiculous. I expected my brother to start laughing too. He did not.

"You are joking, are you not?" My brother looked at the roof tiles. He shook his head. He was serious. "Are you...Elladan are you really..." I could not really form the question. It seemed impossible.

"Yes." I blinked a little, trying to grasp the situation.

"Does she..."

"No." I thought of something that could ruin everything for my brother.

"Has she made her choice yet?" My brother shook his head. I had expected some relief from that answer, but it just made things worse. My brother had chosen the life of an elf. If Deliadis chose the path of man, he would be alone forever. His heart would break beyond reason if he really did care for her.

"You cannot tell anyone Elrohir. No one can know. Deliadis should not base her decision off of me, and she does not need to know of my affections and potentially feel forced to court me." I never thought my brother could have been that serious.

"What if you tried to forget her? Would that help?" My brother smiled sadly, bringing his hand to his chest.

"The ache gives me something to live for. The moment it is gone, I may die." His eyes suddenly lit up. He saw Deliadis walking into her room beneath us. "I have to go brother. You should too. Curfew." My brother gave a sad smile as he dropped off the roof and landed silently into Delia's room.
