(Deliadis POV)

I was lying on the bank when a ringing began to echo in my ears. The white light filled my vision. I felt my head fall back onto the leaves, and I saw creatures running. Horrible and disgusting monsters running through a peaceful forests. Everything looked blurry, rushed, as if the vision itself was panicked. I saw arrows being fired, black ones laced with poison, and ones similar to elven design. One was fired in my line of sight, and I let out a shriek as I was pulled from the vision. I gripped my chest and the locket, panting as someone wrapped their arms around me. It was Elladan.

"What did you see glaw nín?" (my sunshine) I laid in Elladan's arms, playing with a strand of his loose hair. "Deliadis?" He looked so worried. I didn't want to worry him even further.

"Nothing for you to worry about." Elladan gave me a look. I kissed his jaw, sliding comfortably into his lap. He laid his head atop mine, holding me in his arms. I noticed large eyes staring over a rock. I heard my brother's voice, but he wasn't speaking to me. He was speaking to Boromir.

"Gollum. He has tracked us since Moria. I had hoped we would lose him on the river. But he's too clever a waterman." Boromir spoke, worrying lacing his voice.

"And if he alerts the enemy to our whereabouts it will make the crossing even more dangerous." A minute passed and after Frodo and Sam had a brief conversation about food, Boromir spoke once more. His tone had shifted. "Minas Tirith is the safer road. You know it. From there we can regroup...strike out for Mordor from a place of strength." Aragorn fired back, his voice calm and filled with truth.

"There is no strength in Gondor that can avail us." Boromir fired back, anger in his tone.

"You were quick enough to trust the Elves. Have you so little faith in your own people? Yes, there is weakness. There is frailty. But there is courage also, and honor to be found in Men. But you will not see that." There was a moment of pause before Boromir began to shout. "You are afraid! All your life, you have hidden in the shadows! Scared of who you are, of what you are." My brother suddenly snapped.

"I will not lead the Ring within a hundred leagues of your city!" Elladan and I looked at each other. Legolas came over and sat beside us, the same look on his face. He spoke softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

"This will certainly lead to an interesting journey." Elladan nodded in agreement. I didn't bother to make any movements. I was too tired and I needed sleep to try and rid myself of the vision. I opened my locket, staring at the portrait of my father and mother. It was of their wedding day. My parents looked so happy in the portrait. Elladan kissed the side of my head.

"So that was what she gave you." I nodded, kissing his jaw again. I relaxed against Elladan, drifting into sleep. I blinked awake in the morning, my head aching. "Good morning Delia." I smiled up at Elladan as he brushed back a strand of my hair. We boarded our boats again, and I was suddenly drawn from my thoughts by Aragorn speaking to Frodo.

"Frodo, the Argonath! Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old. My kin." I gazed up at the statues. They were partly my kin too, but much more Aragorn's. Everyone was in awe at them. They were a towering achievement of what the bodies of men could accomplish. After passing the Argonath we reached the Falls of Rauros. They were beautiful, but I felt a pit growing in my stomach. Something bad was going to happen. Elladan whispered to me as pulled our boats ashore.

"I feel it too. There is a darkness in this forest. Evil is waiting here." My brother spoke once we were all on shore, and everything seemed to be calm for now.

"We cross the lake at nightfall. Hide the boats and continue on foot. We approach Mordor from the north." Gimli began to protest the plan laid out by my brother.

"Oh, yes?! It's just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil? An impassable labyrinth of razor sharp rocks! And after that, it gets even better! Festering, stinking marshlands, far as the eye can see!" Aragorn looked positively annoyed. He spoke to Gimli, his eyes dropping a little.

"That is our road. I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength, Master Dwarf." Elladan, Legolas, and I shared a chuckle at the jab. Gimli mumbled to himself, very much annoyed. The darkness settled again, and Legolas left to speak with Aragorn. Merry's voice cut through the uncomfortable silence.

"Where's Frodo?" I looked to where the hobbit had been. He wasn't there. Boromir's shield was the only thing left of him as well. A pit dropped in stomach. Elladan kissed my cheek before we all went off to find the two missing members of our group. I was wandering through the trees, following the river down. I heard footsteps. Loud footsteps. There was the clang of armor. Or swords. I bolted back towards the campsite, fear coursing through me.

"Elladan! Elladan where are you!" Every once of me was filled with fear. I heard an arrow fire. I ran to the sound, dodging trees and scattered bodies of monsters. The monsters from my vision. I arrived to see my brother beheading a monster. He turned to face a body on the ground. A body with three arrows. One of them was buried in the chest, like in my vision. Except it wasn't me. It was Boromir. He spoke, his voice weak.

"They took the little ones." My brother collapsed beside Boromir, his face filled with sorrow.

"Be still." Boromir spoke to my brother. Everything else seemed lost to them.

"Frodo! Where is Frodo?"

"I let Frodo go." That must have been an easy choice for my brother.

"Then you did what I could not. I tried to take the Ring from him."

"The Ring is beyond our reach now." Boromir nodded, sorrow, fear, and an odd sense of peace rushed over his face.

"Forgive me. I did not see it. I have failed you all." I started looking for Elladan. He was missing along with Merry, Pippin, Frodo, and Sam. I took off through the trees, calling for him.

"Elladan! Elladan where are you! Elladan!" I saw a large scrap of fabric drenched in blood. It was from Elladan's tunic. The world around me began to spin. I started calling out for him frantically. I didn't see a body, which terrified me even more. "Elladan!" Dropping to my knees, tears began to run down my face.

"Delia! Deliadis! Where are you!" It was Aragorn. He wrapped his arms around me. "What's wrong? Where's Elladan?" I showed him the scrap of cloth.

"He's gone! He's missing! I can't find him!" I sobbed into his shoulder, my arms wrapped tightly around him. Elladan was gone and my heart was shattering into a million pieces.
