To Gondor

Apparently it turned out Pippin had brought Sauron to Rohan through the magic seeing stone they had acquired from Saruman, who was now dead. Somehow Sauron knew who I was, and what my gift was. Gandalf addressed everyone as I sat nursing a headache. Aragorn had wiped away the blood, but water didn't fix everything.

"There was no lie in Pippin's eyes. A fool... but an honest fool he remains. He told Sauron nothing of Frodo and the Ring. We've been strangely fortunate. Pippin saw in the Palantír a glimpse of the enemy's plan. Sauron moves to strike the city of Minas Tirith. His defeat at Helm's Deep showed our enemy one thing: he knows the heir of Elendil has come forth. Men are not as weak as he supposed; there is courage still, strength enough perhaps to challenge him. Sauron fears this. He will not risk the peoples of Middle-Earth uniting under one banner. He will raze Minas Tirith to the ground before he sees a King return to the throne of men. If the Beacons of Gondor are lit, Rohan must be ready for war." I spoke up, interrupting Théoden, who had opened his mouth to speak.

"What about me Gandalf? Sauron knows of me. Clearly something happened with Elladan." Gandalf looked at me with pity, and gestured for Théoden to speak. I felt hurt but listened quietly.

"Tell me...why should we ride to the aid of those who did not come to ours? What do we owe Gondor?" My brother spoke up from beside me, eyes hardened.

"I will go." Gandalf whipped around, shouting.

"No!" My brother fired back, gritting his teeth.

"They must be warned!" Gandalf took a breath, placing a hand on Aragorn's shoulder.

"They will be. You must come to Minas Tirith by another road. Follow the river and look to the black ships.Understand this: things are now in motion that cannot be undone. I ride for Minas Tirith. And I won't be going alone. Pippin, Deliadis, you both will be coming with me." I stood quickly, ready to protest, but Gandalf was gone. I couldn't leave. I couldn't leave my brother, and I couldn't leave Háleth. It seems I had to. Hugging Aragorn I ran off the pack my things and say goodbye to Háleth. Once I had my bag packed, I rubbed the locket around my neck. I was going to need all the strength I could get. I walked down the hall, reaching Háleth's room. I knocked softly on the door, waiting as he opened it, sleep still evident in his eyes.

"Delia? What's going on?" Tears welled in my eyes as I hugged him.

"I have to go. I'll be back, I promise." Háleth held me tight, begging me not to go. "I have to. I have to Háleth, but I will come back. I'll come back, I promise." He looked up at me, his lip trembling. "Aragorn will be here, as will Elrohir and Rúmil. I will come back, I promise. I promise you, my Hadorion." He nodded into my chest, and followed me outside as I mounted my horse, following after Gandalf and Pippin. I turned my head, watching as my brother, friends, and one small boy, faded away. Days passed as we rode to Gondor and I was angry at Gandalf. He had torn me away from the people who were keeping me sane. One morning, Gandalf spoke as we rode, a smile on his face.

"We have just passed into the realm of Gondor!" A day later he spoke again, and I stared at the city rising in the distance. "Minas Tirith, City of Kings." We rode into the city, and Gandalf stopped my horse. "My dear, you may want to go to the healers. Make sure they have everything they need." I nodded, finding my way around the city to the healers buildings. I dismounted and entered, slinging my bag over my soldier. A man came up to me, his head down, his hair tied in a messy bun.

"Hello My Lady, how can I-" The man looked up, and we locked eyes. Elladan. My sweet Elladan. He spoke, his voice sounding broken. "Delia?" I nodded and threw my arms around him, hugging him tightly. He let out a little noise, but hugged me back. Tears streamed down both our faces, and Elladan held me close. We both blubbered, trying to find words, but ended up kissing each other. He coxed a moan from me, his hands taking root in my hair. Elladan kissed me roughly, panting as he pulled away, a smile on his face. He took my hand, dragging me into a private room with a bed.

"Elladan...I...how? I saw you capture. What happened?" He held me close, kissing my head, lips, neck, everything he could reach.

"I escaped. But Sauron...he knows. He made me tell him. Delia, I am so sorry, he made me, I held it for as long as I could." I grabbed his face and kissed his lips.

"I don't care. I'm just so glad I have you." Elladan pulled his hair from its bun, and it fell to his shoulders. He kissed me again, and we laid on the bed, spending the day and night together, making up for lost time. It felt so good to be in his arms again, and almost everything seemed so far away. In the middle of the night, as I lay curled beside Elladan, I drew circles over his chest, trying to avoid the scar lines.

"Anything happen while I was away?" He laughed as I punched his shoulder.

"Don't joke like that. As a matter of fact, yes. I am now the adoptive mother of a young boy in Rohan. His name is Háleth. He's turning thirteen this June." Elladan kissed my lips, running his fingers through my hair.

"I believe you mean, we are the adoptive parents." I giggled, kissing his lips.

"Right. How could I forget, my husband?" Elladan held my waist, continuing to kiss my lips. "How does it feel, being a rule breaker?" Elladan chuckled against my lips, kissing me gently.

"Absolutely fantastic."
