Life is short
One day you're five years old
Playing outside
Running around without a care in the world
Living life to the fullest
Life is short
In a blink of an eye
you're thirteen years old
Learning to be more independent
Thinking about how you're finally a teenager
Excited to be growing up
Life is short
Suddenly you're twenty years old
It feels like just yesterday you were in high school
Now you have a job
You live on your own
You're learning to be your own person
Life is short
Now you're an adult
Suddenly the world feels heavy
Life feels more pointless
Time keeps passing and passing
And the worse life feels
Before you know it you're left Reminiscing
Of times when you were younger
Of people who have come and gone in your life
Of emotions you long to feel again
Of the times when you felt happy
And you'll be left thinking "where did all the time go?"
So try to enjoy life in the moment
Because someday you'll be thinking back to this moment and say
Life is too short
