jaden and i canceled our summer plans due to alexander's sprained ankle, that night we left the hospital at around midnight. everyone was already asleep, i started to feel sleepy as well but i had to continue driving. we got home around 1, i got out of the car and went to the front door to unlock it before going back to my car to get them out and inside. i decided that alexander would go in first but how would i get them inside? i decided to slightly wake alexander up and when he finally woke up a little i put his arm around my shoulder and started to get him inside, i did the same with jaden and javon. i set the three onto the sofa and got them a blanket before heading back to my room. i got into bed only to hear a knock on my door, having to get up again. i opened the door only to see jaden, "hey" he said, "can i come in?" he asks. i open the door more to let him come in, we were talking about our relationship until i then spoke. "why are we a secret, why do you not want anyone to know? or want to meet in secret" i ask looking down at the floor, it was silent for a while. "please try to understand, i'm trying to be good at this" he replied, "i'm trying to understand, jaden" i now say. it was silent for a good while. we sorta talked it out and it was now silent again, until he broke the silence. "can i sleep here? and go back down in the morning" he asks, i nod and go into my bed. he soon joined me, i fell asleep quickly.

i woke up in the morning and found jaden asleep still, i woke him up and reminded him to go back down. i went on my phone and saw a message from my mom,

M: at work, love you guys
S: love you too mom

i got off the phone and went into the bathroom to do what i needed to do. once i got out jaden was gone, i got ready and headed downstairs. they were all awake, all of my friends were away so i decided to message my old friend. they lived a bit far but i still decided to give it a try,

Zach
S: hey zach
Z: hey scarlett?
S: sorry i messaged you out of the blue
Z: don't worry, what's up?
S: i know we aren't really close anymore but i was wondering if you wanted to hang?
Z: okay yeah sure, i'll start leaving so we can meet at a cafe?
Z: here's the address, ******** rd
S: okay, see you soon

i stood up from the sofa and went into the kitchen, i got a water and headed back upstairs, "not even a hey?" alexander says. i wave at them before heading upstairs to get ready, i put jeans on and a hoodie. i waited until i got a message from zach telling me he's almost there,

Zach
Z: almost there

i headed downstairs and grabbed my keys from the table near the door, "where are you going" javon says, "with a friend" i reply before leaving. i got in my car and drove to the place, zach was already there. we greeted each other before sitting, after we sat down we began to talk. "why'd you hit me up?" he says, "i needed someone to talk to i guess" i say. "any problems?" he says, "it's complicated? i don't know" i reply, "what's complicated" "my relationship" i was so confused about the whole thing. "how come", "my boyfriend wants us to be a secret i guess, he would want to meet up alone at school, would come be lovely with me when everyone's gone or asleep, i just don't know what to do" i say, "if you aren't sure whether your boyfriend wants to be with you then it's best to end ways and go your separate ways" zach says. maybe zach has a point, "he told me to understand, but i don't know what to understand" i say. he sighed, "then break up, it's probably not a good thing to be in" he says, i nod before talking about something else. we hung out for a bit longer before we left, "i should probably get going" he said getting up. i stood up as well, "yeah me too, it was nice seeing you" i say. we both part ways
