shortly after arriving home, i saw my mom. "scarlett! it's good to see you but, why aren't you at school? and where's your brother?" she asks while coming out of the kitchen, i then set my bag down before speaking, "hey mom, i didn't feel well and so the nurse said i was able to come home" i then replied. she looked at me as if she wasn't convinced, "and your brother?" she asks again, "i drove to school mom, and alexander will no longer be taking me to school" i reply back as i walked by her into the kitchen. my mom then turned back and followed me into the kitchen, "what? but you guys always go together, is there something wrong?" she asks, i close the fridge before answering, "i don't know mom, talk to alexander" i then say before leaving the kitchen and go to my room. i was in my room for a while watching a movie on my tv before getting a notification,

Javon
J: bro where are you at
S: home
J: bro what
J: first you're not in the car in the morning and now you're not at school?? i literally saw you earlier
S: well i left
J: pick me up please
J: i'm begging
S: bruh okay
J: okay i'll be outside waiting
S: okay

i turned my TV off and left my room and headed downstairs, "mom i'll be back" i say and she pauses her movie before turning back, "where are you going" she says. as i was putting my shoes on i spoke, "javon asked me to pick him up, can he come over?" i now say. she then nods so i leave, i got to school shortly after, "about time" javon says getting into the car. we had music playing and he put, What You Need by The Weeknd on the aux. we were both singing along on our way back to my house and while we were waiting for the light to turn green, the song changed. the songs that were mainly playing were from The Weeknd, while we were waiting we kept singing to multiple songs. we got to my house shortly after, once we got inside he greeted my mom, "good morning ms brown" javon said, "javon, welcome. are you two hungry? i made spaghetti" my mother then said. my mom stood up walking into the kitchen, "i would love some, we'd both be eating" he then replied. the two of us headed into the kitchen as well, my mom served us and herself as well. we were all eating and alexander and jaden entered soon after, "javon? what are you doing here, weren't you at school?" jaden asked as he entered. javon and i then turned back, "oh hey, i honestly forgot to tell you that scarlett came for me" he replied, "and you didn't get me?" jaden then said. i laughed before replying, "well javon asked, sorry babe, maybe next time" i said standing up and heading over to him to hug him. i then looked over at my brother, "oh good to see you too" i sarcastically said. my mother then spoke, "okay are you two going to tell me what's wrong?" she asked. alexander and i have always had a good relationship since we were kids, our mom never saw us upset with each other. she never saw us fight so us being upset was something new for her, "what is wrong with the two of you? you guys never fight" she said to us two. alexander then shook his head, "nothing mom, we're fine" he replied heading over to give her a hug. alexander and i pretended to get along, after my mom went to her room, i went to mine as well. i continued to watch my movie before getting a message from my brother,

Alexander
A: hey scar, sorry i'm texting this but i'm sorry for overreacting. you're my sister and i should be proud and happy for you but i was selfish and only cared about my feelings, sorry for everything i said to you that night. i didn't mean it, i was just saying those stupid things cause of my emotions. i'm happy for you and jaden, and moms right. we never fight so let's not start just cause of your relationship, i hope you forgive me scar. i love you
S: and you couldn't have come up to my room?
S: i'm just kidding. but i understand, it's okay. we all say things we don't mean when our emotions are high, and i appreciate it. and i also want to apologize for not telling you sooner, you have always been there for me and i didn't mean to keep it a secret. and i love you too
A: and you can ride with us again
S: eh no i'm okay, i actually like driving cause then i get to play my music and ride with my windows down
A: haha, okay
A: we're watching a movie just in case you wanted to watch
A: also help, your boyfriend won't stop talking about your guys first date
S: i'm watching a movie too
S: okay i'll be down

i was glad to have made up with my brother. i went downstairs and heard jaden talking, "and we both ordered the same food and gosh i just want to replay that night. oh and that's also the night javon caught us, i gave her flowers too. and we brought you guys food" jaden was talking about our first date, the night he asked me out. i got downstairs and spoke, "and somehow alex didn't hear us that night" i say causing him to turn around. we all laughed and i sat down, i decided to text my friend.

S: coming home soon?
D: omg scarlett!! i missed youu
D: and yes, i've been gone for too long
S: where's madeline? have you heard from her?
D: yeah i spoke to her a while back, and she isn't coming back
S: what??
D: she said she's moving back to California
D: she said she's been trying to text you but that none of her messages would go through
S: no way
S: i'm going to miss her
D: i will too, oh i have to sleep now
D: talk to you tomorrow!

i shut my phone off after seeing her message. i stayed downstairs for a while before heading back to my room.
