i wake up and get ready for school, i had my music on while i get ready and as i was about to brush my teeth my door then opens, "bye scarlett, i'm heading off to work now and don't forget that on saturday we are going out to celebrate your brothers birthday" my mom says. my mom then walks to me and gives me a hug before leaving, i then continue to get ready and as i was done changing my clothes i got a message,

Alexander
A: are you almost done or what
S: yes i just need to get my stuff in my bag and then put my shoes on
A: okay then
S: ok

i then put my phone in my back pocket and put my shoes on and got my stuff in my bag, after i was done getting my bag ready i put it on and turn all of lights off before leaving my room. once i arrived downstairs my brother and i immediately left to school, we got to school and it began to rain, "oh great, and i parked so far" my brother says. we didn't want to get out of the car so while we were sitting there i got a message,

J: wya scar?
S: in the car
J: you're still at home?
S: no but it's raining and alexander parked far and i am not getting wet
J: where? i'll come for you
S: we are by the pole
J: okay be there in a sec

i turned my phone off and my brother and i had began to talk. a couple of minutes passed and since it was still pretty early we stayed in the car for a few more minutes until there was a knock on the window, we both look over and see jaden. alexander and i then get out the car and jaden had an umbrella and covered himself and i. my brother then got in between us and spoke, "so how is it with you guys" he said smirking and eyeing us two, i made a face then replied, "you really are nosy" i say. he laughed and we all just continued to talk, once we arrived to the front we all see javon, "why aren't you inside already" jaden said. javon quickly rushes to get under the umbrella, "i told you to go inside while i use it" jaden then says, we all then make our way inside. my brother had taken off his hoodie to let javon use, so after he was all covered we all walked around the school. and once again the classes were cut shorter since school was coming to an end, by now we were at lunch. the twins, my brother and i decided to go somewhere for lunch, we got the early leave pass and we all took one car. after we were done eating we went back to school and just walked around for the remaining time, after lunch was over javon and i headed to class. javon and myself have our last two classes together so we just walked together, we were in our geometry class and were handed a easy work packet, we finished and instead of going on our phones like nearly everyone was doing, we decided to continue to work on our project. we had almost everything done but there was still more that we needed to do, "okay so we still need to find out the percentage of people who die due to heroin, or suffer from an addiction to it no?" he says and i pull my laptop out and begin to look it up, after some time of searching i finally spoke to javon, "what'd you find?" he asks and i then reply, "okay well, according to this .gov link, heroin drug overdoses rose by 3,036 the year 2010 to 15,469 in 2016" i say. he nodded and wrote in his own words about the information, "anything else?" he says looking over to my laptop, "a estimated percentage of 0.3% of eighth graders, 0.2% of tenth graders, 0.3% of twelfth graders were reported of using heroin in the past 12 months" i reply and he was writing out the information carefully, "i think we should also add this, "an estimated percentage of 0.4% among people aged 12 or older had a heroin use disorder in the past 12 months" i say and he nods and adds it onto the list. we continued until javon saw more information on my screen, "here this one is certainly important, "approximately 9,173 people died from an overdose that involves heroin" he says pointing at the screen, i nod and write out the information, we had most of our information and class ended. we quickly got our stuff and went to class where we were met by our teacher by the door, "hello javon, scarlett, make sure to get your project out cause today i am going to be calling the groups up to my desk to show me their project" he says and we nod and sit down. our teacher called javon and i up, we showed him our work, "okay great, looks like you guys just have one slide left, keep up the good work" he says and we go and sit back down. i had remembered my date with jaden so javon and i decided to finish the project now, javon and i actually managed to get it done so now we wouldn't have to work on it. class ended shortly after and javon and i parted ways as he went to his car and i went to my brothers car. we hugged before parting ways and as i arrived to the car i saw my brother there already, "about time, let's roll" he said getting into the car and so did i.
