that night i wake up around 2, i see that we left the tv on all night. i go into the kitchen and see javon and i's stuff still on the kitchen counter, i begin to clean up until i heard the front door open. i look up and see my mom entering, i stop doing what i was doing and go up to her, "hi mom, welcome back" i say hugging her. we hug for a bit before she lets go, she looks over at the sofa then back at me, "javon and i had a project and we were working on it for hours, we took a break and ended up falling asleep" i say before she gets to speak. she then goes up into her room, i continue cleaning and soon after i'm done i go back onto the sofa and try to sleep once again before having to get up for school. i manage to sleep again but then get woken up by my alarm, i go up to my room to shower and get ready, soon after i finish i head back down to wake up the rest. i shook them but only javon wakes up, he as well gets his stuff ready and goes up into my brothers room to get clothes that he can wear after he finishes showering. i continue to shake them and finally get them to wake up, by this time javon was already out the shower so now we needed to wait on jaden and my brother. javon and myself were on the sofa talking about our project, "okay so i think today mr rogers is going to be assigning the days that the groups need to present on unless anyone volunteers to go first, what day should we go on" javon asks, i was silently thinking before i spoke, "we could go first and get it over with" i say. it was silent and before he spoke jaden and my brother make their way down, i tell my brother that our mom was home now so we both head up into her room to say bye. after we do we make our way to school, jaden and myself were in the back quiet until he spoke, "we almost complete a year" he says looking at me. we both smile and once we get to school we all separate besides myself and jaden, we take laps around the school before finally going to class, since school was ending soon the classes would end more earlier than before. (time skip whoops) by now it was our last class, the one i have with javon. our teacher began talking about the project, "before i assign days, does anyone want to go on the first day" he asks, javon and i look at each other and then he speaks his hand, "scarlett and i would like to go on the first day" he says. our teacher nods and writes on the chalkboard, "okay so javon and scarlett are going first on the first day we are presenting, would anyone like to go second on he first day" he says. nobody says nothing, "no? okay well tomorrow i will tell the rest of you what day you will be going on and whether you're first, second, third or whatever on that day" he said before the bell rung, after the bell rung javon and i get our stuff packed and leave class and go to the car. after a couple of minutes of waiting my brother and jaden finally show, javon and i were in the front whilst jaden and alexander were in the back. after arriving home jaden stops me, "you guys go ahead and we'll catch up" he says and they nod and head inside. i was confused but then he spoke, "scarlett do you want to go out tomorrow on a date? for our anniversary that's coming up" he said whilst holding onto my hands, "jaden, i would love too but i just can't" i say. he looks confused, "why not" he says, "babe, i have this project with your brother that i need to do" i say back, "then do it when we get back" he says. i sigh and let go of his hands, "jaden, you're not understanding. i can't just do it after we get back, this isn't just any project but an important one. this is javon and i's final exam grade and we need to find lots of information" i now say but he just looks at me in disbelief, "so you would rather do a stupid project than go on our anniversary date? or.. or do you just want to spend more time with my brother scarlett" he now says, i begin to get upset, "for goodness sake jaden! no! i am just telling you that i absolutely cannot miss a work day since we are going first, babe, i need to take advantage of all the work time i am being given. and if i miss a day or don't get enough sleep and make even just a small mistake then that could put javon and i's grade at risk" i reply. by now i think he wanted to keep talking about this but he dropped it, "you're right, maybe next time or if there's even a next time" he says and goes inside, i follow behind and signal javon to bring his stuff and to come up into my room. we were silent but then the silence was broken, "okay so how much stuff do we still need to look for" i ask while opening my laptop, and instead of answering he asked something else, "what happened out there" he says. i was silent for a moment "he wanted us to go on a date tomorrow for our anniversary but i told him that i couldn't cause of our project and he thought that i just want to spend more time with you" i reply, "then go, don't worry about what we don't finish today. we'll do as much as we can and whatever we don't finish then i'll try to finish it but go on your anniversary dinner with him" he says. instead of speaking i give him a hug, after we begin working on our project and manage to get a majority of our work done. at around 9 they begin to leave, "okay well i'll see you at school tomorrow and we'll work on some in class" he says getting up, i nod and walk down with him, "lets go j" he tells jaden. jaden and javon say their goodbyes to my brother and then to me, i tell javon bye and give him a hug and when it comes to jaden i hug him and whisper into his ear, "about that dinner, text me when to get ready" i say and pull away. he smiles and nods before giving me a peck, i walk them to the door and after they leave i wave at them from the door and then shut it.
