Chapter 3

Zander's P.O.V.

Me, dad, and Damian saw the bat signal, so we suited up and went towards it.

"Jim," Dad said, calling Commisioner Gordon

"Is there any way you could show up without raising my blood pressure?" Commisioner Gordon asked him, and dad moved beside him. Me and Damian appeared in our suits.

"Two more?" Commisioner Gordon asked

"The other one goes by Sparrow," Dad told him, and him and Commisioner Gordon were continuing to talk.

"We did find one interesting item at the crime scene" He pulled out the evidence and Damian snatched it from him, it looked like a piece of paper, but then dad snatched it from Damian to examine it.

"Who's number is it?" Dad asked him

"It's a phone se--- Chat line, but that's not the interesting part. It's what's written on the other side." Commisioner Gordon said, looking at us and then back at dad.

We then left and went to the coliseum

"Dad used to bring me here for ball games. Sometimes afterward, we'd go to the amusement park." Dad told us we looked over at him.

"And now history is repeating itself," I told him while giving him a hug.

"Let's go," Damian said, running off, but dad stopped him.

"We made a deal. The both of you are backup, and this is no game, Think before you act," he said, giving us binoculars.

"Surveillance Cameras. Damian said, looking through them.

"Somebody is watching," Dad told us

"Very well, you lead dad." I told him and followed after him with Damian.

We snuck in through a hidden entrance and saw two guards pass by. We soon found Dr. Langstrom and he told us that Deathstroke has his family and that he'll kill them if he doesn't do what Deathstroke wants.

"Where is Deathstroke?" Dad asked him

"I don't know you have to believe me." langstrom said.

"I'll make you talk." Damian said, running up to langstrom.

"Robin No." Both me and dad said, but he threw Langstrom through the door, and a lot of ninjas came into the room, so we ended up fighting them.

"No swords or Kunais," Dad told us, so we just stuck to punching and kicking.

"That was fun," Damian said

"Now Which Way?" I asked him, but then more showed up

"Time to retreat," Dad told us, and I got close to him.

"I'm not a coward," Damian said, getting into a fighting stance.

"Don't be stupid," Dad said and threw some smoke bombs for us to escape. we followed him out to the field where Man-Bats attacked us. Dad grabbed us and grappled up to a high platform I got an Idea and jumped on the back of one of the Man-Bats I flew it into the score bored and dad and Damian knocked another into the score board as well.

The Man-Bats started surrounding us so grappled through the opening and dad exploded a batarang, while dad looked away Damian ran off after langstrom.

"Stupid kid." Dad said

"That would be my brother for you," I said as I followed dad.

"Robin," Dad called to him

"Lucky," Damian said to langstrom.

We then put a bag over langstrom head and took him back to the cave.

"Start talking," Dad told him.

"Ra's wanted me to splice animal DNA to human using advanced mutagens. He would provide volunteers for me to work on." Langstrom told us.

"Obviously, you took him up on it." Dad said

"I knew it would mean prison if anyone discovered I was up to my old experiments. But how do you say no to Ra's Al Ghul?" Langstrom said

"He wanted you to make the ultimate warriors." Dick said

"Yes, Ra's called it Operation Air Strike. No military could withstand an army of flying super powered ninjas,using sonar in the dead of night." Langstrom said

"But Deathstroke took over," I said.

"The formula was my ace in the hole. I kept working on it, making improvements. If I had completely finished it, I didn't know what he might do." Langstrom told us.

"Where is your family?" Dad asked

"I don't know. He let me speak to them once, briefly. My daughter mentioned something about snow. Two mountain peaks that she said looked like cat ears." Langstrom said

"Interlaken, Grandfather's compound." Damian said.

"You're sure?" Dad asked Damian

"He's sure, Dad," I told Dad

"Can you make an antidote to the Man-Bat formula. With the materials, the right equipment?" Dad asked Langstrom

"It's possible, but what about my family?" Langstrom asked.

"Leave them to us." Dad told him, and we soon left for the compound.

"I hope you both are right about this." Dad stated to us.

"We know these mountains well. We've been climbing them since we were four. It was a part of our training." I stated

"That's some training for two four year olds." Dad said.

"First time we climbed it, I fell and broke my wrist, and I also kept kicking Zander in the face on accident." Damian stated, and I just glared at him.

"We made it to the top anyway. It was expected of us. We were Ra's al Ghul's grandsons, " I finished for him.

"Was it all like that, Damian, Zander?" Dad asked us

"We were being groomed to lead humanity. Like our grandfather, we were going to create a whole new world." I said

"By killing." dad stated

"If that's what it took." Damian said.

"How do you both hope to lead humanity if you've never been a part of it?" Dad asked us, and he makes a good point. How were we supposed to?

"What about you? From what I heard, your childhood wasn't a lot of fun either." Damian stated.

"I had my traumas, but I also had people around me to help. Alfred, Dick, others. I had friends. As far as I can tell, all you both had were trainers. There's a difference Damian, Zander" Dad told us.

"There's the stronghold behind those peaks." I said as we soon arrived.
